Good on you that you stopped when told it's not allowed. That being said, Octo (or Twow) made this possible by adding "cosmetic" items that enables this by having auctioneer and mailbox standing side by side, so if the forum cryers want something to blame you can maybe do that instead.

While I don't think this is a very common abuse method, I think it's important to highlight to the "you're an idiot if you accept money crowd" that even you use open all in turtle mail, it just takes whatever is there and deletes the email.
