Sulfuron Ingot Drop Rate

I saw this brought up in the General Community Forum and figured it should have its own suggestion post.

Essentially it appears that on July 21st Octo put out a patch that lowered the drop rate of Sulfuron Ingots considerably from what they were on Turtle. https://octowow.st/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1013 I'm not sure we know the precise drop rate but it seems people assume 30%.

This has caused what I feel is likely an unintended consequence that should probably be looked at. My first thought when I saw the conversation is that it couldn't be as bad as they're describing. When I looked into it myself I found that there were absolutely no Sulfuron Ingots on the Auction House, and when I asked in world chat what they're selling for I immediately had someone offer me 500g for one. They assumed / hoped I was looking to sell one.

That's a pretty bleak market considering the cost of many other items currently.

I feel that maybe the rates were higher on Turtle because of the increased demand due to True Band of Sulfuras?

The demand for them stays relatively consistent as their two main uses are going to be desired even through to Kara40 progression so I doubt the market will correct much.

Yeah that drop rate was lowered too much. I'm not even interested in ingots since I'm neither a caster or potential Sulfuras user but never understood why the rates from Turtle were lowered. I guess it makes sense for the bindings and eye but not this.

If they want MC to stay relevant, they should also implement the core hound mount from Rag so that even those who don't want anything want to run it.

I totally agree, knowing that in a few months that Sulfuron ingot will be worthless, only in phases 1 and 2, and it's impossible, given the number of people still joining, that there isn't even one in the auction house. In my guild, we haven't had a single drop in 5 weeks, even though we have two cores. Turtle WoW increased the drop rate for a reason; please re-evaluate the Sulfuron Ingot drop rate.

The change seems contraintuitive to the fast paced timeline of the server. Droprate should reflect this.
