You're right about the risks, but they're related to the RMT booster guild or certain people, with whom - in my case - I have absolutely nothing to deal with. Although even transferring an account within a guild or a group of friends can carry risks, that is a separate and lengthy topic for discussion.

As for my case, am I right that I was banned only because some of my actions or activities seemed to you similar to what RMT boosters do, and that I was banned based on those suspicions? Without any evidence or confirmation that I paid with gold, items, real money, or anything else that could be used as payment, which I haven't done, and which I've mentioned several times in previous posts?

If that's the case, does that mean any honest player will be banned if their actions raise suspicion and look similar to those of an RMT booster?

You keep asking for payment receipts, as if Kestrel has access to your bank account

Repeatedly stating that you are innocent doesn't help your case
If I were you and I was innocent
I would bring any evidence I could

For example
Who boosted your char
How do u know him
How did u get in contact
Was there a conversation ing? Ask them to find it
Did u contact them via another platform, like discord for example?
Share pics of your conversation that proves there was no RMT boosting involved and they were just helping
Some people say I don't mention that I'm innocent, while others say I mention it too often. I'm not asking for payment receipts; I want to understand why I've been banned for the reason specified and what evidence exists for it. Because right now it looks like I got banned because my actions were similar to those of an RMT booster

I want to say once again that if my actions or decisions raised suspicions, I apologize for that and will try to avoid such actions in the future so as not to waste the OctoWoW team’s time on investigations. But in this case, I’d like to highlight once again that I had no intention of breaking the rules or harming myself or the project in any way through my actions, and I didn’t do anything that broke the rules and didn't pay for anything.

Give me a warning, flag my account as suspicious, or whatever - I’m ready for any action that doesn’t take away my access to the game. You’ll see that I won’t do anything to break the rules or harm the project; my goal is simply to play the game and have fun with my guildmates

I understand why you were banned after reading this thread. You gave your account to someone you have no in game ties with and they leveled for you. Kestrel has asked you to provide some examples of proof that you actually know the guy, and you've refused to do so. They don't just ban people willy nilly. They have a good reason, they've explained that reason, as an outsider I support that reason-- the ball is in your court. Provide some evidence that a complete stranger didn't level for you. If you actually know the guy and it wasn't a paid boost you should be able to provide something that shows you have an actual connection to the person.

I feel I'm pretty unbiased here. I've helped friends level on this server. I've even let a friend use my Hunter to help themselves level. I've never been banned because if I did raise any red flags the devs could see that we're guildies and interact etc etc. Helping friends isn't against the rules. Having a complete stranger level for you? That's another story altogether.

You can provide some evidence if you want an unban. If you don't feel comfortable posting it here publicly you can email it to Octowow@proton.me

Just informational here (I should really put together some informational posts on the top of the ban appeals section).

From the beginning of the public ban appeals page I have been very aware of the fact that many RMTers (both buyers and sellers) have, and will continue to have a very strong interest in determining how we do our RMT investigations. Of course with the intent to find ways around it.

With this in mind, it does not surprise me the quantity of people who behave like this, just repeating that they are innocent while intentionally offering nothing to back their case/story. Their primary demand is often for exactly HOW we know they are RMTing.

I have no doubt that some of them are legit wondering how we determine it. I also have no doubt that RMT service sellers really want to sell to our community. I know for certain that RMT sellers both participate in, and monitor this forum topic looking for how our detection and investigations work.
Sincerely,

Based on the responses above, I assume that I won't be able to get answers to specific questions, since it's easier to give vague explanations than to provide actual facts, which are obviously lacking. All right, let's take it step by step:

First of all, I asked for some kind of evidence of the violations, because often, when you accuse someone of something (and in my case, it was an immediate ban), you have evidence of their guilt, after which the accused reviews that evidence and presents their own evidence of innocence.

Second, when creating a thread—and in this section in general—there is no information indicating that a user must immediately provide any explanation in their defense. After all, when I created the post, I couldn’t even imagine why I had been banned or what might help resolve the situation. Furthermore, Kestrel has not made any demands that I provide proof of my innocence, and if there are any hints of that in his posts, I can’t read minds or guess at hidden meanings in posts.

Third, in my questions, I never once asked for the methods used to identify violators to be disclosed. I don’t have a “very strong interest” in all these processes; all I’m interested in is getting an answer to the question of whether I was banned simply on suspicion (which seems to be the case, since all the answers boil down to that) or if there’s something else behind the ban.

Fourth, for some reason, behind all this discussion, the simple essence of the topic - why I was banned, what evidence there is for it (is there any? If so, the ban; if not, the unbanning) - has turned into a discussion about how I’m connected to some RMT guild, trying to figure out detection methods, and other made-up information that wasn’t even written by me.

And finally, a few words about the evidence I have to provide. I've sent everything I could provide to Octowow@proton.me. I won't post it here, but for anyone who's interested, there are a few screenshots showing that a few days before the whole situation, I asked a friend if he was playing on the server and if he could help, along with our shared servers related to WoW and guilds. I guess that's all I can provide, since I never imagined I'd end up in this situation, and - like 99% of players - I don't keep constant video or audio recordings of everything related to WoW, and I don't document any agreements or requests in text format

1st - Sorry, we don't have Octo-constitution in which we have is a presumption of innocence. That's why ban appeal is public. So you, as violator, prove your innocence. Or as really innocent by request unban, showed us, everyone else, that system can make mistakes, but it admits those mistakes and innocent get unbanned (and possibly even compensated).

4th and finally - same as first, in fact. After you received an answer to the question of why you were banned, you sent your ss by email. Not difficult, really? But I don't think that it will help, just by your answer. An innocent wont ask "What's your evidence?" at second message, but it's good answer for violator who THINK that violation was good and clean :D
