Disc tier itemization

What's the rationale behind priest tier gear doing holy damage with no healing?

Ele gets damage and healing. Ret gets damage and healing. Prot gets damage and healing. Balance gets damage and healing. Seems directly contrary to the hybrid damage/healing fantasy.

Because Disc priest is already an extreme damage sponge.

Stronger shields, higher armor, able to self heal with little or no pushback, and can still deal consistent ranged dps (also with little to no pushback).

nerfing healing makes them less OP in one one one and team play scenarios, where they still offer enhanced support but without the addition to raw healing output that holy provides.

Yeah, it was an oversight from Turtle devs. Devs thought that Holy damage fits Discipline Priest. Fortunately, it only concerns Discipline sets. We can still collect spell damage+healing items.

Also looking at T1 Discipline set, some values don't make much sense to me. For example, some pieces have very low holy damage compared to Shadow's T1 pieces. Assuming that Shadow power and Holy power are equal in item level contribution, T1 Shadow has higher item level than T1 Disc.

I don't know if it's only Discipline Priest's problem but currently no T1 piece for Discipline is best in slot. Set bonuses also don't look good.
The devil is in the detail.
