"To hire a DDoS attack for 8 hours, the cost generally ranges from $25 to $400, depending on how heavily protected the target is" per Google, much less than I expected.

Thank you for your efforts! Much love from an ex-Twow player. I dont care how long it takes, I love Mysteries of Azeroth wayyy too much to jump ship at a slight bump in the road. thank you for your time spent on this project <3

Hey can you just check out this video about stopping DDOS attacks? I'm not like an engineer or whatever but I don't get how buying more expensive hardware is going to help anything...

You guys are doing great. Looking forward to playing once the servers are back online.

It's complete BS that another server feels the need to DDoS others just to "compete"

We are not buying new hardware to prevent the DDoSes, we bought the new hardware before they started to assist with our networking issues as our previous server location has some peek traffic bottlenecks due to the country it was based in.

Our new server not only will have better networking infrastructure to prevent those peak bottleneck issues, but also is the only location our service provider offers their highest teir of DDoS protection. I hope the clears up the confusion but you should be able to find more technical details if you would like in our other forum posts about the subject.
Sincerely,
