Just became aware of this thread and wanted to chime in.

I am actually not botting. This is my bank alt and he is online when i am playing my main or my twink in a second window.

I wrote an addon which makes it incredibly easy for me (really really easy) to check prices and then undercut. This addon was entirely written with the allowed lua api and i actually even described my addon to the mods and the explicitely allowed it. I have screenshots of my request and their allowance.

So i am not botting and everything is within rules.

2-3 Days ago, Bankaltjochen disappeared and right where he used to sit, there appeared a new level 1 with auctionbot named 'chilvansbank' (I dont think this is actually chillvan [more on this below] but rather, Bogenjochen KNOWS what hes doing is bad and want to avoid the hate by naming his AH alt after another player. How you do something is how you do everything)

You may have noticed Flask of the Titans saw a HUGE buyout sometime Saturday, and everything was relisted at 45-49g (up from 22-23g)

'Chilvansbank' has been undercutting like its a job. (sub 1 minute undercuts like clockwork)

I whispered chilvansbank and after undercutting me a couple more times i received an angry message from BOGENJOCHEN . We went back and forth and he stated pretty much what he had said in this thread. I told him I was watching him and had reported him and guess what: He must have turned off his bot because his undercuts were coming more than 5 minutes apart now as I type this.

After talking and sharing this with a few people, the name Bogenjochen was already suspected of botting a ton of fishing during beta. YEAH THAT FITS!

I have even more questions than I did previously:

Who is Bogenjochen?

Why did he leave/get kicked from <Amnesia>?
Was it due to similar behavioral issues?
Why is he able to keep getting away with this?
Is this behavior somehow RMT related?
Why does he want to try and pin this on Chillvan? (who actually seems like a pretty chill van)
And here's the real kicker:
If he thought he was doing nothing wrong, why rebrand?

He is now in <Strawman Arguments> and I wonder if they know.

I have concluded my research and, though its nearly impossible to know for sure, I am confident that Bogenjochen is running scripts to take actions for him but is also very clever at hiding it.

The only question left is what happens next?

Update since writing this: while i was proof reading - chilvansbank logged out and/or removed all listings for now and 'bankaltjoche' is standing next to mailbox.

that person was selling gazillions of stonescale eel early beta to this day still i bet my mpreg belly that he is using many bots def one of those is a fishbot. maybe i am schizoing again who knows.

They replied and told me the feature of recurring relists was not allowed (which was previously allowed by another GM, have screenshots) but thats totally fine and this will no longer be used.
The rest of my addon is totally fine and will use it according to the rules.
I dont want to bot and never have.

The fishing thing is funny because I just love to fish and fished a lot a few months back.

Yes exactly, check, and relist and take out items automatically. And yes this is possible just with a normal lua addon. You can use timers with lua.
This is now prohibited and wont be used again. No problem for me.
One button addon is allowed, checked again today. As i previously said before using something i always asked GM's. Never was the type to bot.
