I Need Advice On Choosing A Class

I'm thinking about starting my octowow journey for the very first time. I'm not sure what class to pick though. I'm leaning towards warrior or rogue. I like having the option to tank, so warrior might be best. However, there might already be a bunch of warriors/tanks, so maybe rogue would be the way to go. Please give me some advice on these two classes, and any other helpful advice you may have. Thank you.

Whether it's carrying every party you're in or being the absolute top of the charts in damage, healing, and tanking simultaneously! Everyone will love you, you'll get a date in that plate or you will look holy shocking in a dress! Hell, roll two, the more Palamans the merrier!

There's 8 classes in the game, two of which are faction-locked. You don't really have that much choice. I think the only thing you should take into account is whether you like how it plays or not. IDK if you're a completely new player (sounds implausible), but just try it and you'll see. Sink a few hours into a wrong class and you'll feel it.

Both are good options and neither are over represented in any sort of crazy way. At least not compared to Paladins lol. Tanks specifically are always in demand, even just DPS Warriors willing to hop over to off tanking when needed. That flexibility is very much appreciated by guilds.

From what you've said I think you'll enjoy Warrior. They do great as damage, and like you said the option to Tank is there.

As someone who has made (too) many warriors in my lengthy tenure of WoW play, playing a Warrior can be very straight forward, but the expectation to tank can be a burden, as well as the necessity of gear. Rogue can be much easier to enjoy the journey with!

I think a good class for beginners is hunter. You only need to remember to buy ammo to shoot. Allows you to collect pets and you can easily escape is the situation overwhelms you.

Another thing to keep in mind is to dismiss pet before you jump of edge! Otherwise pet will go around and possibly pull every mob in the area.

When i chose a class on new server i ask myself how much time i have and what role i will fulfill at the endgame dungeons and raids .
So if you want to be insta invited to groups i would suggest healer and go with Shaman resto most needed healer in any grup dug or raid and as bonus you are one of best support dps and decent tank for dungeons .
And while leveling you can fulfill all 3 roles with ease with the same build (there is build on turtlewow wiki )
So shaman is the best choice

The Night Elf warrior is also a bit of a rogue.
