This attack rapidly adapted to changes we made to our system and routing, indicating an increased desire/attention paid to our infrastructure during the attack. No news on our server setup request/migration yet.
This has never been about the DDoS. This has been about how the OctoWoW team has been handling it.
Daily updates, never left in the dark like the Ascension team had done with the Epoch road map as a malicious means to funnel players onto their P2W servers.
With the average classic WoW player being over 30, we will always come and go. The population will always fluctuate. With this, comes the reassurance that when times get difficult, or when players get frustrated with what is happening now or in the future - we may leave until the issue is resolved. but we will always be back. Some of us choose to reduce our playing hours around the DDoS and continue logging in daily.
Thank you for your teams' continued efforts.
