Using the allowed Lua API for addons is not scripting G. That would be using outside-the-client applications eg. to move the character. Only thing that's discussed here is if using a timer is considered gentlemans behaviour.

No this was a full buyout of all listings ON TWO FLASKS to price gouge. Most likely by Mithipia / Mithibank (who is also a sus botter) and possibly 1-2 others.

You all realize there is more then just the AH for items as a whole right?

Yes, plenty of other places to get herbs. I farmed a LOT of lashers pre-nerf. Herb nerf at lasher should be reverted AND node respawn should be increased to help the Herbalists feel good about their time investment (BUT thats a separate topic).

My point is that the custom AH addon is being used instead to spam buy the all the cheap mats instead of spam list all the undercut auctions. It's still automation or I'm missing your point.

Only thing that's discussed here is if using a timer is considered gentlemans behaviour.

Anything that takes actions for you while you can leave the game unattended is unacceptable

Actions that were originally happening automatically: Scan auctions for undercuts, Cancel auctions, open mailbox, reclaim items, relist items for new best price.

I also can't seem to find functionality to open the mail etc. which should require mouse-input. It also kinda sounds like Octosephiroth is throwing others under the bus to divert from his involvement in the AH.. in my humble opinion

Any form of unattended play should be banned with prejudice. It's botting, or its botting with extra steps.

That's it. And it hasn't been addressed, you just say 'that wasn't happening'
We're all here because of that original thread, where multiple people stated what was happening and I started digging.

I have not downloaded or used Bogenjochen's addon but I read the git page on the feature list. He stated himself that it was the 'recurring relist' which would allow for unattended market control with preset parameters so you wouldn't accidentally list your items for 1c while you walked away, slept, make food, use the bathroom, work out, touch grass, or even play more on another character (cuz you just love fishing so much).
I don't know if his addon was allowing for all of the actions taken including reclaiming the cancelled auctions from the mailbox or if that required additonal scripting. All I am saying is that I watched the actions described be taken automatically over and over again for hours, with roughly 1 minute intervals.


Anyway, from a rules/fairness perspective my only issue is with the automatic inputs.
Obviously, things can be said about the buyout/manipulation, but that is a moral question and not a bannable offense.
