I can't help but notice you still have not addressed any of my points. For some reason you seem to want to prevent any real discussion about automation within the AH/addons.

I listed against the botters for days gathering info on how and what exactly they were doing.
I reached out and spoke at length with Bogenjochen, who states he genuinely thought he allowed to do this, but double checked about the 'recurring relist' feature and indeed it was deemed to be automation after review.

This was the way he was able to cancel and relist so quickly. I still don't know how he was able to claim the mail without additional scripting since everyone seems to agree that his addon does not do that part.

I will humor you and check out the addon when the servers aren't DDOS'd to hell, but the only functions I had issues with were running a looping script to take unattended actions.

No this was a full buyout of all listings ON TWO FLASKS to price gouge. Most likely by Mithipia / Mithibank (who is also a sus botter) and possibly 1-2 others.

Yes, plenty of other places to get herbs. I farmed a LOT of lashers pre-nerf. Herb nerf at lasher should be reverted AND node respawn should be increased to help the Herbalists not feel good about their time investment (BUT thats a separate topic).

My point is that the custom AH addon is being used instead to spam buy the all the cheap mats instead of spam list all the undercut auctions. It's still automation or I'm missing your point.

Anything that takes actions for you while you can leave the game unattended is unacceptable

Actions that were originally happening automatically: Scan auctions for undercuts, Cancel auctions, open mailbox, reclaim items, relist items for new best price.
No addon does that automatically though, even his addon, Aux and Auctionator also can spam buy items too. So that seems to be your only issues. Some dudes are trying to price fix and yall dont realize you dont have to buy them from the AH. Its all your issues seems to be is the automation aspect which is fully bannable and Kestral already approved it because it doesnt do what your claiming it does.
I also can't seem to find functionality to open the mail etc. which should require mouse-input. It also kinda sounds like Octosephiroth is throwing others under the bus to divert from his involvement in the AH.. in my humble opinion
Sorry to chime in so suddenly but this sounded interesting so i kept reading... And to be honest, I also heard of like a circle of 4 or 5 or 6 really really really rich people playing the AH all the time. Like 100+k gold type rich... These are the people that buy everything up, making flasks go insanely expensive and also herbs and stuff... Also annoying me a bit... Anyway I also heeard from a guildmate and some random dude i dont remember few weeks back that some Sephiroth(Oserphiroth?) is one of those huge sellers... Maybe he also uses this addon? Do with that whatever you want

Yeah I didnt address your points because you never used the addon or know how it works, so its pointless to keep talking about it. There is no automation besides buying mats to craft a consume which any auction house addon can do, you still have to craft with button press and list which button presses.

Laughable accusation from a first time poster named 'anonymous'.
The fact that sock puppets (fresh accounts) are attacking me for making good points makes me reasonably suspicious that there is RMT at the bottom of this.
Maybe Kestrel will take this seriously, I hope.

No. You have not addressed my points. You're just trying to disingenuously gatekeep the conversation.

When confronted with automating, Bogenjochen said 'thats X feature of my addon'. So either that feature was automating, or there is additional automation happening besides the addon. So which is it?

I just said what I was told. I think the interesting thing is that GMs and Kestrel do know how much money each of us has and how much each of us is on the auction house.
I dont know how willing they are to lay that open, but they for sure know if Bogenjochen, Mithipia, Icankite or Sephiroth has huge amounts of gold. Maybe lets ask them and see who are the real whales? Because If i am sure about one thing, I think rather the person that has 100k+ gold is responsible for all the price hikes of flasks and herbs and not someone having a few hundred or even 2-3k gold.
Should we start a petition to lay our banks open?

This new build was updated yesterday and may indeed not have the recurring relist feature ANYMORE. We are not talking about the last 24 hours. All of this happened with the previous build, and if you simply read the previous thread, Bogenjochen states everything I was saying in his own words.

Also earlier in the thread, I stated that the auto-listing had ceased with the new GM ruling and it was a night and day difference. People seem to be manually relisting now. Is there anything preventing someone from making something similar or using the old build in the future? Who know's.

All I'm trying to settle in this thread is:

Unattended play = bad

Do we at least have common ground here

Whoever you truly are i think its pretty obvious you're trying to hide or protect what truly is going on, Sephiroth layed out some facts on the table and none of you fakies can come up with a reasonable counter other than try to frame someone else when we all know what yall are doing is pushing your luck with some 3rd party auction house automation.

Now i have no idea how that went to pass through the GMs but everyone noticed the jump in flasks and other potions over the weekend. Its pretty blatant whats happening is the market is manipulated by a certain group of people.
