Linux Mint OctoWow

I downloaded the Octo Launcher and installed the game via Steam. But how do I launch the game using the launcher? Is there perhaps a guide on how to install Octo on Linux?
I'd like to switch away from Windows, but I'm not an expert when it comes to Linux. I'm currently using the latest version of Linux Mint.

I use lutris and https://lutris.net/games/octowow/ on my mint. Works really good. Install dxvk if it complains about it.

first thing you do in uninstall linux mint and install cachyos.... it has best wine integration i have ever used. but if you instist on linux mint then lutris or heroic work well too. you can always install protonup-qt and try different proton versions if your still having problems

Personally, what I did on Mint was to use proton to run the installer and then let it run the launcher. While the launcher is running, you can do a search for its location - likely in a virtual drive.

I copied the contents of the virtual drive into my own directory and added the launcher to steam/ proton from there. Likewise, I made this the location of my game installation as well and now have direct access to either launcher or client through steam at anytime.

P.S. Gkrank - every Linux user has their favorite, but when someone asks how to do something on a specific distro that you don't use, kindly stfu. "Uninstall your OS" is beyond unhelpful.

Try faugus launcher.

For me it works better than any other wine launcher

In case you haven't figured it out yet or any other Linux players find this:

After installing the game through Steam or Lutris you just need to edit the Steam game file path to point to the launcher exe instead of the installer exe.

The file path to the launcher is: "Steam/steamapps/compatdata/<random number>/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Programs/OctoLauncher/OctoLauncher.exe"

To find the correct folder number in compatdata just sort them by date modified.
