it's just the same old classic game in HD, they might as well throw in the towel. Even private servers are capable of developing new content, while the company that owns the IP just keeps re-releasing the same game with higher graphical requirements.

I'll believe it when I'll see it. I saw lots of youtubers trying to hype things up but I simply don't buy it. I don't even engage with them I am so past the point of giving Blizzard any chance that nothing is said on the internet will persuade me.

By shutting down Turtle they made enemy in me. Because not only they fail to deliver to the player base, not only they use very predatory practices to leech every penny from players, they shut down people who deliver what players want.

Let's assume they will launch something really neat visually, I have zero faith they will deliver it story wise. The same people that gave us SL, TWW, Midnight and such still work for this company, that couldn't write to save their lives.

I'm open to be positively surprised but I'll not hold my breath. I'd rather still struggle to be connected to OctoWoW than pay Blizzard for their shady practices.

Honestly I really hope they release at least some good client. I'm never gonna play on official servers. But I hope they release a good modern client which private servers can then use. The UE5 client is a good idea but it's currently in a very rough shape. I'd rather have a real WoW client that looks and feels like WoW.
As for the content, I doubt blizz can make anything good, or at the level of what was in vanilla-wotlk. So if the content of whatever they release sucks - that's where you can have servers like turtle/octo who develop their own custom content.

So I just hope they give us at least a good client.

Blizzard can't provide a bot free, RMT free, properly moderated experience because it conflicts with their bottom line. They'll never be superior to the private scene, regardless of the content, when their incentives don't match with the player base desire for a bot-free experience.

It doesn't even matter if they release "Classic 2" or not. They will allow bots and Chinese farmers to roam around ruining the game for everyone.

They think we are so addicted we only will play WoW. I always liked OSRS more, but we finally gave that up, it just was easier to get rid of.
