A response to "Twinks ruin Pvp"

I play the game to have fun too, but I don't level up, I stay at 39. I made this my end game on this character. Getting to the gear/enchant levels I'm at took about a week or two of being level 39. You are making it seem like that's an impossible barrier to surpass because you, like most players, just haven't actually tried to do this, so you're not informed.

I know exactly how it works. This shit is not rocketscience. You dont do anything intelligent here.

Infact twinking was actually tricky back then when players had to calculate their xp and stuff. All this is gone. Many use their 60s to gear and funnel money into them. Just bc you show its possible to do otherwise doesnt mean everyone had to do this. Especially for what?! For some casual pvp?

The issue is that you destroy the fun for the majority of players by your niche playstyle, then expect them to change their playstyle just to participate in some casual bgs.

We're 10 pages in, and you've ignored or lied about most of what I've said, and you maybe wished death upon me at least once, and you don't even play low level BGs despite spending all this time arguing about it, I've explained I farm for gold on a level 39 in high level zones, that raising professions is possible at level 35, making paying for everything incredibly simple.

I don't think enlightenment is in your future, I suspect you're going to spend most of your life getting in your own way.

I don't seem to understand the purpose here in that case. Do you not accept a villainous role as the twink in a bracket? I know back in 2006 when I made twinks, I knew I was behaving in an unwashed manner. Why do you demand respect from the people you are, effectively, cyber bullying?

Can you help me understand what you want out of this thread/conversation? There's obviously not enough of a population of twinks that will play BGs with you in a specialized queue(even across both servers), and I highly doubt any server level action is going to be taken against/for twinks, so what are these threads even about? Are we all just letting off steam on the forums?

I've been reading some version of "Twinks ruin pvp" for about two decades now, and just wanted to share my experience playing here on Octo and on TWOW specifically.

On both servers I play a 39 night elf feral druid. On both servers I have/had no characters higher than level 39.

On TWOW with full buffs (booze, food, elixirs, zg world buff, dmf stam buff, 60 priest stam, 60 druid motw, kings) I was able to get over 8k HP in bear form. So far on Octo I've made it up to 7.79k HP.

My gear on both is amazing for the level. I have all my professions 300/300. I fish, herb and chop trees in high level areas (55-60) on my level 39, and the profits from doing so bankroll the operation.

My point being, anyone can twink. You don't need a level 60 farming gold for you to be able to do it. Which to me means when I hear, "twinking ruins pvp!" that just translates to "people who take the time to get the best gear and enchants are better than players who CHOOSE not to do that!" which isn't a very hot take.

If you wanna queue 30-39 BGs at lvl 31 with 800 HP, it's not my fault you're not having a good time.

Maybe instead of trying to entice the dev's to do something to stop twinking (what would this even mean?? anyone with good gear just can't queue or something?), turn off XP at 39 (or whichever bracket you want to play) and take a few days acquiring best in slot gear and enchanting it. Might take you a week or so and then you'll be having way more fun in BGs and contributing to a way more fun and competitive bracket.

I don't think anyone is arguing against "anyone can twink". What I don't like about twinking is that it ruins bgs for me. I enjoy doing some occasional bgs while leveling, but twinks take any enjoyment of bgs away, so I just opt out of low level bgs altogether if the server has been around for more than a month or so.

"Stop twinking" obviously means removing the abilitiy to lock experience.
