Is there any current gathering of the community outside the game and the forums? I didn't know how much we needed the discord community until we lost it, and now I feel so disconnected from OctoWoW, even when playing it.

how can they take legal action against that community server? Its just a discord what will they do sue us cause we talk about warcraft on a gaming platform? I think they just took the chance to get away from deleting raven bots and mpreg emotes.

I dont believe that legal story i think the discord became an uncontrolable platform for spam bots. How many users u found there mimicking players that cant take it anymore and go to raven now.

Idk isnt there a legal hill to stand on? What about telling Blizz to fuck themselfes? Not for Octo not for any wow server but for the damn right to have a discord about a video game. What world we live in we let us tell what to do from a GAMING COMPANY?

It's called trademark dilution; that's what they would say to Discord anyway to have the Discord server taken down. Unless there were actual links to game files or Blizzard trademarks, there's no legal action they could really take. It's also very unlikely they would send a C/D to the owner of a Discord channel. All they have to do is contact Discord, claim brand protection, and Discord will comply. They wouldn't have to spend any money on legal fees or investigate the identities of the channel owner...it just doesn't really add up, but w/e who really cares. There are 2 new fan-made Octowow discords; one is run by some liberal Nazis, and the other one has been pretty chill for what this community is on Discord...

There also wouldn't be an announcement from the owner stating that it is soon to be taken down, it would just be taken down. The story is BS.

I think the team is doing a great job and keeping us updated as much as they can. I can't imagine this being their full time paying job for them (or perhaps it is), and they also need to sleep. We can't expect them to give us 8-12hourly updates, they will when they have something they need to share. Also, the upmost importance is keeping this server and the teams anonymity, so we all have a place to play our favorite game.

The team has my 100% support and my patience through these difficult times. I hope you do too.

Seriously. Gotta give them some time. It's a bummer but gotta let them figure it out. This stuff takes time and the team is giving updates.
It seems like some of the comments in these forums are from severly ungrateful people or "the enemy".
If it's not OctoWoW I won't be playing anything else especially not that other particular server.
