You think all this and me not going to Classic+ will finally tell em? I somehow have my doubts.

Should listen to a complaint eventually.

1)Open Notepad as admin (right click it and run as admin)

2) Open file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts (check *.* to see all files)

3) At the end of a file add:

92.114.107.47 hc.octowow.st
185.165.170.59 normal.octowow.st
92.114.107.48 pvp.octowow.st

4) Save a file
5) Open cmd as admin
6) Type ipconfig /flushdns
7) Restart Launcher
Thanks for this it worked on my PC! if anyone knows the equivalent linux workaround, i would love to play on my steam deck
Haven't tried this yet but I'll give it a shot, Kestrel told me himself they are working on the issue at least. They are aware and are trying to fix it from their end for us noobies.

I would honestly wait if you aren't comfortable with going into these files. Idk what notepad does here so I'm personally not.

well thats good to hear. Its ok to have a fix, its just ass slappage for people who either are too clinically retarded to figure it out on their own. Or just outright don't have access to fixes.

Also Mullvad VPN, Netherlands node JUST WORKS. So there's that

Yea I already told him I don't use VPNs. But for people willing to that's good. Just wait otherwise then :S Frustrating, trust IK, I was staring at that screen for 12 hours yesterday and got in once.

The equivalent you want on Linux is /etc/hosts
You open it with sudo using nano or whatever text editor, and add those lines after whatever is already there.
Will it work, however, is yet another story, for I can't ping none of those IP regardless.

We are not yet on our new hardware. We have continued our work to try to protect from the DDoS best we can with what we have access to. Expect an update early next week with a specific time.
What is going on. I can not log in to PVE server and if I get lucky to log in I can play maybe 5 min and then i am getting disconnected. Half of my guild is not responding. On guild discord channel they already want to move to different server.

I can log in to my account, to PVP or Hardcore but PVE is unplayable.

I wasn't familiar with it, I guess it points to those IP addresses which are supposedly the pve/pvp/HC realms. BUt since Octo apparently doesn't publish their IP addresses, it could be a random server that loads your computer with viruses. I don't think this step is even necessary to connect, the issues are on the server end, not your computer and files.

Yea I didn't end up doing it. Wasn't sure if the post was genuine so the "I'll give it a shot" really didn't hold true.

I just decided to afk on another thing while I wait and added the edit, even though I don't think many will do that without knowing what they are doing.
