Gannot log in to N'Zoth but can login to other realms

For those running linux who are able to login to pvp/hc but not pve

add the IP to your /etc/hosts file

185.165.170.59 normal.octowow.st

If it fixes the problem, the issue is DNS not the server

edit: remember it's there so if the IP changes again you remember to clear it

For windows, the file is in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Open notepad as Administrator and add the same line ^^^.
This made things work for me. of course if the IP ever changes, this hosts entry will have to be removed...or manually changed to the new IP address.

So i tried this and it worked! but after logging out and trying to log back in im getting the same issue again. i should specify i am running windows 10.

the fix with the IP in /etc/hosts did work in the morning like a charm (8 am). When i got home at 22 am, it was glitching at first but worked finally.
I am in a dungeon group right now, guess why i am posting. I can access PvP and HC realm from new lot in, but i can not change to PvE.

Is there a char transfer to PvP server?

Used the new IP mentioned. So to prevent DDOS, the IP is changing constantly! This is just a temporarily fix, until the IP changes and the host file needs to be changed again!

How would one know the right IP Adresse? If it would change?

Have tried all these suggestions - flush DNS, reset router, /etc/hosts - nothing worked and now I can't even log into the PVP or hardcore servers either.

Is anyone actually able to log on to PVE realm?

been having this same issue. on thursday it revved up with 60+ seconds long lag spikes and i ended up having to kill the game with task manager after it kept me in some sort of connection purgatory for over 5 minutes. figured it was another ddos attack and managed to log in once later but it wasn't long before i got booted again. my partner can log in and play just fine now but i haven't been able to access n'zoth since then.

i've been pretty patient with the whole ddos situation but i feel like at this point they're just kinda taking the piss lol. none of the suggested solutions have worked for me so i guess i'll take a break until this is potentially fixed.

FYI, I am from SEA and able to play Octo without using VPN or modify the hosts file this few day.
