This is a stretch. "If you do one of 3 different workarounds, you *might* be able to login."
The server has been at 1/2 pop the last few days because of this. If the the DDoS didn't kill it, this will.
Oh man, just stop it lol, it hasn't killed the server and it won't kill it, and classic+ won't kill it (some say this but it's really a silly and ignorant thing to say), it's a solvable issue and it just will take some time. The only thing that is able to kill it in the foreseeable future is developers who would pull the plug, but I'm pretty sure they won't do it.
Implying literally being unable to play for several weeks (which only continues to get worse) wouldn't suck the will to keep trying out of players. This is cope. The only people who will stay around are those who have established toons and guilds already, good luck retaining any of the new players especially on the precipice of an official classic+ release.
You guys just dickride and freak out when anyone is even mildly critical of the project as if we're all doomers and not giving legitimate criticism.
since when is SERBER POP DED FOR THREE DAYS ITS SO JOEVER legitimate criticism? it's literally just a matter of patience which i'm sure plenty of players have. with luck their whitelist plan works out and we can all play and have fun this week. god forbid it doesn't and all the pro gamers have to find a different hobby for a little while.
i feel like continuing to insist that people are going to mass quit because there's connection issues which they are addressing every few days IS just plain doomerism and there is no criticism to be found in repeating it. "that didn't kill it, but this will kill it for sure!" is not criticism, you're just waiting for the end of the server with your dick in your hand. like yea people will move on because they can't play but that is the entire goddamn point of the server getting ddos'd. this is the hardship of trying to have a server with protections in place to prevent it from getting taken down by blizz.
and blizz may be able to pull newbies and people with bad taste in with their paywalled blood elf recolor, but i feel that a lot of the playerbase are returners from turtle. blizz's classic+ can't offer anything close to that same experience because whatever braindead writers they hired for that project are unaware there is existing warcraft lore and they don't have to pull yet another new race of elves out of their ass to try and make it interesting.
