This is a white list for one of our upstream protection providers that filters traffic before it reaches our servers. This is NOT a work around for everyone to avoid being affected by the DDoSes.

This only white lists your IP to prevent your traffic from being automatically blocked upstream. If you are able to get into the game right now this whitelist will not help you at all.

This is to help those who are able to get past the log in screen, but are unable to connect to one or any of the world realms. If this is what you are experiencing, please whitelist yourself and wait for your IP to be added to the white list. You can do this by going to the account management page on the website. As previously mentioned our upstream provider has strict rate limits on whitelisting IPs which we are unable to work around, so we are limited in how fast we can add IPs.

P.S. it may take up to 30 minutes for the white list to take affect after your IP has been sent to the provider.
Hi guys, am I missing something? Where are the instructions on how to set this process up?

I agree with this statement if it requires a whitelist for many players to login, and when trying to signup to the whitelist, users are getting errors. Just bad experience. Really stinks given this is all brought on by DDOS, and I hope this is a very temporary solution, because if not...this quoted response is where I am at.

How can I whitelist my current connection if the website itself is being blocked? What is the alternative solution?

This solution does not address the initial concern and doesn't work to begin with. If the Octowow.st website is blocked and the Octo server is blocked it means we cannot actually login to the account management when on a PC being blocked.
