Functional Summon stones

It's funny that people say no to Summon Stones, while the LFG tool is making a comeback.
The only thing that happens without Stones is that you have to walk yourself.

If you want people to talk more... get rid of the LFG tool.
We all just love it when the world chat is 90% full of "LFG" and "LFM"... disgusting.

Unlike summoning Stones, which entirely skip a section of the Game, the LFG Tool as we have it now on Turtle only simplifies getting a group together. I'd Bet that Nobody ALWAYS have their eyes on the LFG- or Worldchannel To See If someones looking for group members or keep Spannung looking for group. That Tool Provides better Overview over certain Channels and keeps Engagement towards the Game in *all* of its aspects, traveling included.

"Being older, having Work and Family" is, i'm sorry, a poor and rather selfish excuse. I too have all that, yet i do Not Wish To jump from dungeon To dungeon To dungeon with summoning Stones.

While summoning stones might encourage engagement for Dungeons, it might also discourage questing/doing stuff in the Open world, since a Lot of todays Player mentality would only do Dungeon, after Dungeon, after Dungeon.
The LFG Tool as we have it is a good Middleground on the scale between oldschool and modern.

As stated, a lot of people who enjoy turtle wow are older. I have 2 jobs, kids, and obligations! It’s nice to not have to waste so much time traveling to a dungeon. I agree with this

But exactly with this Sentiment about "Not wasting time" you're playing the modern Community right into their hands. Cuz then it's all about the efficiency. And this Game shouldnt be about efficiency. It's at its core still Vanilla WoW, means there should be inconveniences.

Plenty of inconvenience still exist with summoning stones then game. This is just one thing that respects players times.

Hell I’d be ok with not having to go get world buffs too. Or make like they did for SoD near the end.

This wont happen. Players already and always lean To Take the path of last resistance.
If you enable summoning Stones and someone says: "nah. I dont Like em, i rather fly."
What do you think will happen? Of Course, they will get kicked from the group.
If you enable summoning Stones, you're not Just enableing convenience, you're enforcing it.

You aren't wrong but I really dont think it takes away from classic but thats just my opinion and I rarely have the time these days which sucks. so personally id love them

Summoning stones wouldn't ruin the game. The argument that they make replacing players too easy ignores the fact that waiting 20–30 minutes for a new player to walk to the dungeon completely kills the group's momentum. It's just a waste of time. Furthermore, the current system forces a heavy bias toward bringing Warlocks just to bypass the travel.

Summoning Stones lead to lesser communication, even elitism by throwing out people who you simply dislike, cuz summoning someone new there would be easy with summoning stones.
Having a warlock in a group and be able to summon is a luxury.

I respect this sentiment, but respectfully disagree. Perhaps we could meet in the middle. It just feels so stupid having those things sitting there and to what purpose...the solution is simple...enable summoning stones but buff a warlocks summon to make them even more desirable in the party...make warlocks able to summon with even 1 person present...a peaceful co-existence IS possible here...so why not?

i still stand by the point, that the lfg tool already IS a middleground that we should be grateful for.
I think any more convenience would rather lead to the consequences i already mentioned above.

And sorry, your suggestion with the summon-buff to warlocks doesnt make them any more desirable at all. most ppl would rather shrug it off. like "Yeah cool. one less. so what? we have summ stone. we wont need a warlock that badly."
