No worries and thanks, I wasn't around at the beginning. I was unfortunately swayed by a lot of the misinformation that was being pushed at the time.

That was 1st or 2nd week of Octo launch
and Archer was referring to reddit mods deleting posts about Octo on "wow servers"
Eventually everyone realized that Octo wasn't a scam, but the fact remains
There is a "mafia", which is notorious of ddosing other servers in the past
and will use any means necessary to bring down the opposition
Yup, we were doing Windhorn Canyon through todays ddos, slow and steady (almost 3hours because of all the interruptions), killed last boss and were wiped during process due to pre-DC lags. Are you talking about Blizzard? They're not going to stoop to DDoSing a small private server. It's illegal and not worth the risk. In the future just say the company name so people don't have to guess or ask you to confirm it? Simple counter argument, how would they ever be found out, if the DDoS attacks are a darkweb bought service carried out by someone else?
