LOVE IT! Thats what I always hated about Twow. It was such a gigantic pile of nonsense that the HC community was split over two realms. Nothing could really build on that. Also that HC and SC played on same realm was such a nonsense. You wait for 10+ minutes on a mob spawn point for example, just for some Softcore dude to tag it and you cant even group with them ... This is just a small example of why this was such a nonsense.
It ruined the entire HC immersion. No. it is NOT just a title to flex. Whoever says that never really had been in any HC community. We always cried out for exactly this. Big Thanks!

Many good things - sure. BUT the AH is a must, makes the game so much more enjoyable.

What if hardcore characters could have an option at character creation to opt out of the transfer to normal realms? Perhaps earning a separate title or pet or mount. Thus those who want the thrill of a true HC can have that, and the HC curious can play with the option to transfer later?

This sounds like a good idea on paper, but having now actually experienced it first hand...I HATE IT!
Splitting the PvE and HC was a huge mistake! What is the point of playing HC, if the server has such a small and yet super toxic population, its empty, its lonely, and when you finally hit 60 the reward doesnt feel worth it, because odds are most of the friends you had, the people you actually like as opposed to the toxic masses in world chat have probably already left through the dark portal! And yet at the same time, what's the point of a realm where failure is effectively impossible! The SC realm has the better and less toxic community while the HC has more purpose...THEY NEED EACH OTHER!!!!

no, spliting its cool idea

I really really love the split on the non-HC and HC servers! Personally I am a Twow refugee and after a few months I really want to go back and play some wow hc.

I was reluctant to try out this server, specially because of the time investing, but this post really convinced me the server and I share the same phylosophy, I was looking for servers and even considering to play normal vanilla classic leveling, but this? Oh my god, I 100% agree with all the changes and keeping the AH out of the HC servers, I really enjoyed in Twow to have to travel and trade with people from my level to enchant or get enchanted, get mats, w/e, it really made it very inmerssive!

I love the split HC and Non-HC. I didn't want to leave blizz Classic HC due to every private server have only optional HC on normal realm but not here. When I saw Octowow have separate hc realm instant came here. Thank guys

Using the Dark Portal as an in-game asset to physically teleport your character, whether alive or dead, to the normal server is a great idea. It offers rich roleplaying opportunities while allowing both servers to strengthen each other by sharing players. Great job!
