For those running linux who are able to login to pvp/hc but not pve
add the IP to your /etc/hosts file
185.165.170.59 normal.octowow.st
If it fixes the problem, the issue is DNS not the server
edit: remember it's there so if the IP changes again you remember to clear it
I tried this but it didn’t work. Do I need to restart my pc afterwards?
Are you using Linux?
Try ping normal.octowow.st and does it reply with IP 185.165.170.59 ?
It replied not with that

You need root access to edit /etc/hosts. Use sudo and any text editor will do.

Hi,
Sorry for not fully trusting you, but I feel wary about just routing to a different IP. Who knows, I might play Raven by accident.
Is there a way to verify what IP i should use in my /etc/hosts?
Also how would I ping the hardcore or PvP servers?
Thanks a lot
---------
My ping output tp normal.octowow.st is and i get the same result pinging the suggested other IP
ping: sock4.fd: 3 (socktype: SOCK_DGRAM), sock6.fd: 4 (socktype: SOCK_DGRAM), hints.ai_family: AF_UNSPEC
ping: ai->ai_family: AF_INET, ai->ai_canonname: 'normal.octowow.st'

Thanks, it helps immediately, no need even restart the client
