Thanks for the reply. The switch to another bankalt was because of the public slander to not attract more hate. This character existed for a longe time, just used him from time to time.Octosephiroth wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2026 2:57 pm I'm all about second chances, so this will be my last post on the topic, unless "recurring relists" are obviously happening again. (it does seem likely we'll see this behavior from other players in the future so there should be clear ruling in this case)
GMs and other players can decide what they think. It seems you were in fact auto-relisting for quite a long time now.
Whether you call it scripting or botting etc, it's automating actions especially over long periods of time (<AFK> tag while running).
I do appreciate your honesty and saying you'll stop automating, I just wanted a fair playing field.
There are two things that still bother me though.
If you didn't know what you were doing was wrong, why would you switch to the new level 1 character 'Chilvansbank' to continue after the initial post?
The fishing thing keeps bugging me because it seems to fit a pattern.
As far as I know, neither of these things were ever allowed within the rules on turtle or here.
I know you said you got special permission, so I'll leave it there.
Good luck and thanks again for settling the matter publicly. You were very mature when confronted.

Yes you are right i was unsure so i asked for approval. I got the approval i used it. I didnt get approval i dont use it simple as that.Portox1 wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2026 3:36 pm I don't know, man. You are sus as fuck.
You knew your addon was pushing the boundaries of what's legal. That’s why you tried to get approval from a GM in the first place, so you'd have some cover. Not to blame the GM, but I wouldn't expect a random one to fully understand what a complex, custom-written addon does just by glancing at it. He probably just said "all good" assuming it used standard Lua code.
The second thing that leaves a sour taste in my mouth: even if you only had to press one button to do all of this, nobody spams a single key for hours on end, let alone 24/7 without some form of automation. Even while playing an alt, you’d take breaks for at least a few minutes where you aren't hitting that button.
Then there's the fishing. "I just like to fish a lot" is the classic botter excuse, right up there with "I just love pickpocketing in BRD." No human is fishing for several hours a day, every day. I don't buy it.
Also, renaming your alt to slander Chillvan and cover your own tracks is low as fuck.
By the way, any admins looking into this should check out at least one other person in your guild who has a really suspicious history on the Auction House. He should be easy to spot since he probably hit gold cap by now.
Maybe he is using the same "addon"? Who knows?

The fishing thing, yeah i get you, but i just like fishing. Even being known in the guild as the "fishing guy". Also chillvan knows this. Ask him, he will tell you I am the fishing guy. I also talked with chillvan and everything is fine between us. If you dont believe me just ehisper him and ask him.
All this accusation are just speculation and have no basis. Its easy to throw slander around.... If you want to maybe make a ticket and ask a GM on their point of view ...
So maybe stop throwing accusations around and ask around the people you think it is concerning and you will see its not so deep..
