What do you even spend all this money on a server that is in P1? What is there to buy? I wouldn't be surprised if all this gold is sold for real life money afterwards. Maybe a big gold selling RMT ring is behind all this. It's extremely suspicious that there's a group of individuals with this addon and their sole goal is to make as much gold as possible and they went out of their way to ask GMs for permission for their addons. I would like to see an investigation on these individuals who routinely try to increase the price of flask from 21g to 60g from time to time because it makes no sense.

If no investigation happens I will happily sell my own flasks at non-stupid prices on worldchat 1-2x per person, because if I put it at a reasonable price this "person" buys them instantly to resell them. I have every utility item, all the flask recipes, I don't need a vault load of gold to play this game especially in P1. All these herb prices were much cheaper until these bots came and manipulated the market.

Doesn't really matter to be honest. Some people just enjoy playing the market. That said on Turtle Guild Houses and Guild Banks were very expensive. We don't know what Octos plans are for that. So it's fair for people to want to prepare.

That said, the tool being described here is absolute cancer and in my eyes shouldn't be allowed. Addons should complement the game, not basically replace entire in game systems which this one appears to do. From what I've seen described in this thread it's basically impossible to compete against unless you stoop to their level and use their tools and that doesn't seem right to me. It might also be something that's quite difficult for the developers to police because it's working within the addon API.

I have been a bit absent from this side of the forums and will have to come back to read all of these posts at a later date but wanted to make some things clear.

I did review Fabianku's initial request that was made before they started using this addon and multiboxing in this way and approved it. I do not see aspect of this addon that violate any of our standing rules about automation, botting, and scripting.

We will be opening more general discussions in the future about the role that automation plays in our AH/economy as we consider adding more accessible AH APIs to the server. In light of this please either move this conversation to a generalizable discussion around this prospect in another thread, or save it for when more information is released.
Sincerely,
