Because I'm (sometimes) able to log in but never go into my realm, i only get a screen where i can pick a realm, but i cant go to my character..

same, I'd make a ticket in the support forum specifically if there enough of them it may get the attention of admins quicker.
in the meantime using a free VPN like Cloudflare WARP or protonVPN seems to work for me
