General Support for Common Issues

Disclaimer, this was ripped straight from the community Discord posted by "TheOriginalTO" and all credit goes to them (and those they credited in this post).
How to Fix 90% of issues
Update check failed: Cannot parse update info from latest.yml: Reinstall Launcher from website
Cant Access website: Use VPN
Error: aria2c exited with code 18: Permissions issue, launch with administrator
AntiVirus popup: Add exemption to octowow folder in Windows Defender
Can’t connect to server: Change reamlist.wtf to be play.octowow.st instead of octowow.st
Launcher keeps reverting realmlist when changed: Launch directly through wow.exe
Also make sure to run in cmd prompt: ipconfig /flushdns it might help.
Also if none of the above works but you can get into the game, use a VPN

If you don't want to use a VPN:
Network and Internet Settings --> Ethernet/Wifi (w/e you use for your connection) --> DNS Server Assignment, click on Edit --> Click on IPv4 and in the Preferred DNS box, type in 1.1.1.1, and make sure DNS over HTTPS is On (Generally automatic is fine).
Then click save and close the Settings menu. Octowow's host is blocking certain ISP's/Regions so this is a quick workaround for most, otherwise a VPN is the only other option if the DNS change doesn't work
