The ingame poll about RMT is such a nice addition

Please more of that! Especially since it's INGAME, not anywhere else, especially somewhere like discord which always gives off such an alienating feeling.

Also next time write what RMT stands for, half the pop in world didn't even know the meaning (me included lol), which in itself is another win for octo and the crowd it attracts.

<3 we level trough the attacks together

Truly embarassing for octo

Proper answer is to ban forever. No mercy.

No other answer is correct. If you buy gold and you are caught, you just need to start your adventure over again from lv 1 and that's proper punishment.

If you allow 1-3 month temporaral ban, you give players calculation based on if it's worth taking a risk which is abnormal. For example you could buy 1000 gold, wait 3 months and possibly have free mount if you bought it during the time you weren't playing much.

BTW, this was the most absurd poll so far. You should never allow democracy to have impact on such fundamental rules. Polls should concern preferences like "should we release ZG in 1 month or 2?".

Besides, gold buyers have always been a minority that harm MMO experience of majority.

RMT should be punished no matter when it happened. It does not become harmless just because months or years have passed, because the damage it caused does not disappear with time.

As a player, I invest time, effort, and commitment into progressing fairly.
once RMT is proven, the date should not be an excuse... this is about protecting the integrity of the realm

RMT = BAN , there should be no variable in this equation

i actually meant the way the polls are integrated into the game as a whole, not necessarily the topic of today.

I want these ingame events, the radio and the hosts who answer while on air reading the ingame world chat, the ingame parties, the ingame polls all that. why put it somwhere else, it belongs into the game directly. dj whiski answered my question I had to him on world live on the radio on twow. this was such a special moment where I had to think for few minutes afterwards. it was simply something I have never found in any other online game in such a way.

The way the devs have to be anonymous and all that maybe forces them to stay away from places like discord, but it could be such a blessing, simply doing it ingame instead then. I loathe discord so much.

Well, no one said they would listen to the result of the poll.
Was it even a poll, or a honeypot ?

Made me discover the ban appeals forum and the current dramas. Best 20 minutes of the day ...

Why would anyone who is against cheating vote to reduce the penalty for cheaters? If you vote to reduce penalty for cheating you a) a cheater or b) someone who wants to cheat but dares not because of the penalty, c) you are the one selling gold. Its not like one accidentally buys gold. You bought gold, you decided to cheat - a perma ban sounds like a fair judgement.

Why is this even a poll?

It gives a concrete, presentable sentiment to show to those who get banned that this is what abiding players really want, when those caught try to argue things such as ban appeals or use sock puppet accounts to argue in bad faith that the players don't really care.
