Alliance Flight Pathing from-to new zones

Howdy gang, I'm playing through some of the new zones like Grim Reaches, Balor, and some of the old zones Blasted Lands and Gnomer. I noticed there were new flight paths for these locations, and when taken to their nearest neighboring FP....you detour from anywhere between 10-20minutes.
According to FlightTracker addon:
Balor to Stormwind is 18minutes, and several other locations are similar to flight time.
Blasted Lands Kirin Tor outpost is 17 minutes to Duskwood, but 4minutes to Red Ridge.
As you can see some of these routes are made longer for what doesn't appear to have a clear reason. Observationally, I've noticed some of these new zones have you cross back to Stormwind twice which may be related to some kind of limitation with dev tools related to implementing new flight paths.
If there are tools to edit the routes, I do believe the Balor to Stormwind should be just as short as Stormwind to Balor, not the equivalent of Darnassus -> Feralas.
