Around the same time the attacks ramped up from 8 hours a day to nearly 24/7, we on boarded with our 9th service provider claiming to provide DDoS protection that would work for our TCP traffic. This provider has been the best by far in helping us but we are still being attacked and don't have our permanent protection in place

FlokiNet has provisioned our new server but we are unable to do the migration before they get the DDoS protections in place. They are still configuring the custom filter that is needed for our DDoS protection (and understandably don't work on weekends). We are very very excited to migrate to our new hardware with our new DDoS protection this week.

Hey there Kestrel, was just wondering. Is the server to play still located in Iceland, or has it migrated to the Netherlands already, fully up and running and connecting to the play server there now?

Hey there - I would like to know how to possibly help the project. Say for instance if you are a developer and know something about server architecture and/or protection against attacks. Is there a forum for discussing these things and suggesting strategies and so on?

I just wanted to report that the DDoS protection is preventing some of us legitimate user from logging on. The current fix is to use a vpn. Will there be a permeant fix in the future or do you recommend we use a vpn to access the server moving forward. My region is the west coast of USA, I am able to log on sometimes without vpn but I always get kicked eventually. Sometimes I am able to get back on and other times not able to get on for the rest of the day. Thank you for your hard work on this team. This issue seems to be affecting only a small portion of the player base any way.

New to the server and i gotta say, its been alot of fun so far. Im really reliving the good ol days here, best wishes and luck to all the staff and people involved making this server a possibility. Its a damn shame that there are some really bitter people that just wanna see the world burn.

While not perfect it has been a marked improvement. We'll get there.

Since friday it has been an incredible improvement. Some other posters in the "stuck at logging in" thread has added some solutions to that issue and all weekend it has been a blast. Keep up the fight.
