Polearms/Fist Weapons/Staffs

Is there any hope for itemization/introducing more fleshed out level lists for these items?
Even if they're generic [Weapon] of the boar/ect drops I'd love to be able to actually do a playthrough as a polearm warrior or maybe a fist weapon rogue, not even asking for talents to support the play style but at the very least to have more ironed out drops so we can do playthroughs without rocking the same lvl 24 polearm for 30 levels ect.
Maybe introducing more/better support for blacksmith might be a niche? Staff warrior might be too niche and dumb to fit but staff shaman could be more interesting with better itemization, just thinking out loud
