Found a way around this by:

1: Close the launcher
2: Clean out the entire octo wow folder location but leave the folder itself intact
3: Download the client through the torrent on the website
4: Transfer the client's contents into the octo wow folder that the launcher is set to
5: Open the launcher ...

Auto-loot is enabled whether the option is checked in the launcher or not.

I have tried a WDB and WTF deletion. I have tried switching the option on in the launcher to see if it does the opposite (it does not). I have tried a completely fresh install after purging any and all elements of the game ...

Perhaps more critical, I am consistently getting this and a crash to desktop as well whenever I try to open my professions:

No mods installed - also, this is a completely clean installation from scratch, as mentioned above. Launcher also complains about UnitXP_SP3 ...

What's next after Simple Katana for vagrant samurais? Do we have any at all?
