if there's no fail condition, RPGs aren't fun. take it from someone who has watched MMOs becoming more and more braindead idle games; TWoW's balance is great. is Octo's a bit off because it's beta? idk, maybe, but not from what I've experienced.

Entirely depends on how balanced the factions are. If the server is overwhelmingly one faction, then yeah, I can see this being necessary. That said, I think it should be an opt in thing, where you can choose to queue mercenary if you want the faster queue. But if the factions are fairly balanced ...
