Let's say a new patch is released for the game, many players update via the launcher, but is there a way to update the client without using the launcher?
Does the client available for direct download get updated to the new patch version?

I’m probably not the only one having trouble with the launcher, it simply refuses to start. It was the same story back in the Turtle days, but at least then there was an option to download the client directly.
Is there any way to post a direct link to the client somewhere on the forum or the website ...
