I mean I still cannot login. What gives?

Same here, for like an hour or so.
Can ping the IP half of the times, but can't login. The forum didn't work as well.

Since there is regional blocking possible (from either side) in my location,
I'm left to wonder is it this, or a DDoS attack, or some maintenance issues or what else?

There is a type of players (me included) who will only roll on PVP, no matter the population.

Which I did about a month ago, and after trying it on both sides for a while,
I can tell the server feels alive, suprisingly way more alive than Turtle was
(I joined TurtleWoW when it hardly had 200 online ...

First thing first I do on every character creation,
is to disable General, World and Trade channels
keeping /say for Roleplay and /LocalDefense for PVP.

Somehow the game still feels exciting and immersive every time.
