Real shadows & Improved Lighting like Blizz Client.

Hello,

I was wondering if the devs are ever planning to introduce better lighting and shadows, closer to the blizz classic client?

It's one of the biggest put offs for me and I think they really make the game look better!

I saw somebody posted Turtle Wow working on the custom, built from scratch Benilla client with proper shadows working so I'm hoping we might see them working in the future!

"Classic client" is just Legion. WoW Classic is just retail - in the regard that the engine is (for that time) retail's. With less quests and whatnot. Hell they legitimately couldn't get the keyring to work for like 5 months because its not in retail anymore supposedly.

Ain't going to happen because it requires a rework of the entire rendering engine itself.

Ahhh that's a shame!

There is a new client, based on vanilla wow called Benilla which I was looking at.

Because it's built from scratch, it appears to be highly moddable and people have added Twow and real shadows to the game.

adding GOOD lighting and shadows takes time and effort. if it happens, then whatever. but it likely won't so save your breath.
