ban appeal for allowed multiboxing

Hello,

i was just permanently banned (on my 2 accounts) for i think lvling up 2 characters at once.
Two days ago, I asked my daughter whether multiboxing was allowed on the server, so that i can lvl up both of our characters since she's busy (and we can do dungeons later on) and she looked it up and told me it's allowed for 2 accounts/characters.

I tried multiboxing on a previous server few months ago, so this is my second time.

now unfortunately, i made a mistake by using a software to make it easy for me during combat. and switching up manually for other stuff, take loot, return quests,etc.... when my daughter noticed it, she told me that they specify in the rules that u can't do it using a program. so i changed it up to manual switching between windows.
i think people might have reported me in both cases ?

i understand we should have read the rules more carefully before doing anything.
this is my first time getting a ban and a permanent one on any wow server i played. I did not intend to cheat, nor break server's rules. i just wanted to lvl up 2 characters at once : one for me, one for my daughter who's busy with work, so that we can dungeons with our family members when everyone is available.

I respectfully ask if you can consider reducing the permanent bans to temporary suspensions. I understand that I made a mistake, and I will make sure to follow the rules carefully going forward. I have enjoyed playing on the server and would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to continue playing and show that I have learned from this. (ps : this is the only paragraph i had AI write as english isn't my first language, and i wanted this part written well)

this is daughter speaking from my other account.
no cheating was intended in playing 2 characters at once.
we are not bots.

in other private servers, we are used to casually lvling up 2 characters at once to save up time on doing quests (we keep switching between them, even if it takes time, it takes less time than doing each individually)
so that we can then focus on doing dungeons as family (me, dad, my other sisters) on the common free time we have.

We could have received either a warning, a temporary character restriction or ban, a temporary account restriction, but no, we got sudden permanent account ban on 2 accounts. no second chances. and we just started playing on this server this week.
i sincerely hope, we can work it out.

If it was a genuine misunderstanding I feel for you guys but this isn't really the kind of thing you should expect a warning over normally. I'm personally unaware of any server that has ever allowed using software to automate multiboxing. As far as how it's typically punished, it's treated pretty much the same as botting, and would you expect them to warn botters?

And in regards to it being a genuine misunderstanding, I mean I multibox, I use my Hunter to mobtag my alts-- I have absolutely no idea where I would even start to find software to multibox. I guess I'm trying to say I have a hard time believing someone just innocently stumbled upon that. Like if he had to ask you about the rules for multiboxing, he couldn't find the rules part of the website but he can find websites to download multiboxing software?

I'm not staff, just sharing my two cents. Again if it was a genuine misunderstanding that sucks and I feel for you guys but it's a pretty serious infraction.

The second chance is that you aren't IP banned and can create new accounts and start over, it doesn't sound like you guys were here long so at least it wasn't a large setback.

Yeah unfortunately this account will not be unbanned.

There are many reasons we have a permanent ban policy for things like this, a major one being the potential economic impacts.

I'd personally recommend making two new accounts and enjoying the leveling process together, and try to notice the little things you may have missed before, rather than rushing to try to do group content.

Google search? Very first line offers me 1.12.1 Wow Multiboxing Addon Project. But yeah, for 5 years of playing I googled it first time rn.

Cant imagine for what people need mboxing. Just choose other class if you can't play on current solo. And if have partner for playing mboxing doubly strange. When you alone just lvl fishing, profs or play another toon created for solo. Or even at other game, since this game is so bad and bored that you don't want play solo or just spend time together doing shitty quests and grinding shitty things.
