Halloween Transmog Competition: Winners!

Thank you to everyone who took part. We had so many amazing entries and choosing the winner was not an easy task!

The competition ran in two rounds. In the first round, all entries were put to a vote. The 11 entries with the most votes moved on to the second round, where they were judged by our panel of 7 judges: 6 staff members and Vera, the winner of the Retired Adventurer transmog competition.

Here are the results:

1st place: Erobos the Corpse Bride (16 points)

Erobos did not get the top score from a single judge, but still came first, with votes from 6 of the 7 judges!

2nd place: Ivaas the Vampire (15 points)
A very close second, and a favorite with several judges.

3rd place (shared): Gubbens the Voodoo Gnome and Gildark the Human Death Knight (13 points each)
Both finished level on points, so third place is shared.

Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all who entered, voted and judged. See you at the next competition!

No explanation on why they liked what they liked? Weird, there were way better ones fitting the Halloween vibe in my opinion, good to know to not even bother with the events anymore.

This type of a competition will always be subjective, and there were no hard criteria apart from the general theme and how the post appealed to the individual giving the ranking.

In the first round all judges chose 5 of their favorites ranked 1-5, we gotten 11 people that had over 5 points and they formed the 2nd round where same people chose.

We went as to ask Vera to vote as someone from the community who has won a transmog competition and I plan to include Erebos in future competitions as a judge too.

That way over time we will have a mix of community and staff votes, but i doubt it will go into some deep ranking of multiple aspects such as story, general appeal, how hard it is to get a transmog etc

Thank you for 3rd place!

Gubbens the Voodoo Gnome put the donation points to good use and can now sneak into cities, hiding behind his new trusty repair bot!

Congratulations to the contest winners. Honestly, there was a lot of competition, which makes this victory all the more valuable. The shots turned out great. But believe me, next time I’ll be better prepared. I am your arch-rival.
