Re: Towards the End

I play maybe 10 hours a week and during those 10 hours I did 5 raids and farmed consumes for those 5 raids and what's everyone's reaction.. "you're a psychopath and the FOMO has made you unhealthy, seek medical support" It's fucking crazy. From my experience of never missing a raid in 3 years when Timbermaw Hold released it was difficult to fit in all the raids not just for me but for my entire guild, lets remember folks it takes 40 people to raid it's not like I'm alone in this. It got to where we had to make the decision of dropping raids, there were people who still wanted items from those raids, what do we tell them? Thanks for coming for the past 3 years but we're no longer going to do the raid you want things from anymore? There comes a point when there's too many raids and not enough time, unless you play 20-30 hours a week now we're getting into "not healthy" and these people are defending it with their lives, like I'm the psychopath.

That's a good point. If you draw yourself standing next to the Joker you do look a lot saner by comparison.

Look, man, if you only have 10 hours a week to play the game maybe it's fine that you don't raid 5 raids a week? And the others who still want raid items? Maybe that's something you guys can organise on the side with multiple guilds for those who can make the extra time to fit a 3rd/4th raid into a healthy schedule?

You talk about raiding like it's a job, man. Are they paying you to do this? Must you live like this? How do you manage to cram enough stress into 10 hours to manifest like this? It's fine to argue that some BIS items would be better if they were more consistently available like purchasing via items that drop within a raid rather than trying to roll the dice every time. It's fine to argue all sorts of other solutions. But you're choosing to play the game in a way that burns you at both ends and asking developers to build everyone's schedule around your obsessive standards and time-constraints rather than the standard that works for everybody else.

So yes, you are not handling this matter healthily.
