The majority of the community is against this, it's a bad idea, one the devs already said no to. It's not "QoL" to level faster, it's skipping a majority of the games content. It wouldn't be "QoL" to have a button that fully raid geared or maxxed your professions as well.

this is kind of survivalship bias cost, ofc half the population is against it = cuz its the type of populationa ctively playing, most folks seen its not 2x and didnt even try to level so they can't even give their voice on it and to majority it would make the server more accessible.

Besides that, that whole line of thinking sounds like a fucking cope. "Oh yea we want folks to level slower to experience all the content" - thats why they gave 3x titles to servs first 60's who basically skipped all the content except couple quests and just grinded their way to 60 super fast???

How is it bad idea if it helps get more people to PLAYER VS PLAYER server which feels so dead atm even tho majority reached 60, now literally no leveling quees are popping, folks bitching they can't get a game in 40-49 bracket no more because guess what, the point is to come to 60 then grind your way up to decent gear... i dunno why faster xp is equated to people wanting to get fully geared with 0 effort, yea some but for most that aint the case, this is just a bad pre assumption since it serves your talking point.

Im 60 and i don't even need raid gear, literally need 1 item from MC and skipped all MC runs cuz that 10+ agi on that cape aint worth months of raiding if RNG decides to fuck with me.

I got to lvl 60 as first Horde rogue on pvp serv and i reached it at my own pace, 7d played at the time and got to lvl 60 with 300LW and around 500g on me, literally had epic mount in 2 days after hitting 60.

Besides allt his talk about limiting leveling only made sense when server was fresh, who the fuck gives a fuck about leveling experience once this server is couple months old?

You are just gatekeeping it from potential new players by forcing them into unneccessary prolonged grind to leghten the "leveling" experience when most leveling chars atm are alts from folks who are 60 and bored out of their minds cuz bg's rarely popping lol

If they wanna grind rush for lvl 60 they should have the option to do so without devs pushing their artificial leveling restrictions, like oh no they will skip some leveling dungeons... bro i don't even know how Maraudon looks like, i been it 3-4 times in my whole life lol, dafuq i give a fuck about Dragonmaw retreat or some other leveling dungeon thats gonna take me 2-3 days to find a single group just to run it potentially since not many people in same leveling brackets anyway no more????

You can literally skip half the game, still reach lvl 60 and then gear progressively from there, all this idea that you need to get pre bis for each level bracket by grinding SM and all that shit from lvl 30 onwards is cancer for entire community, most folks lose out so much time trying to farm dungeons for some semi decent leveling blues they will replace with a green in couple lvls anyway lol.

This whole subject is a joke imo, it made sense to gatekeep folks once server was fresh but now gating and forcing people to go 10 min inn rest inbetween lvls is just tedious redundant bullshit.

Make xp x2, make rested give you x3 or x4 and literally nothing of value is lost.

If people want sensible progression through dedicated leveling server they can go play PVE server, on PVP server you cannot be gating community through redundant shit that doesn't even make fucking sense.

"Oh guys yea we wanted to make your leveling feel impactful and meaningful, thats why we put titles for servers three first 60's you know, cuz they didn't rush the content at all to get it" lol

I see no difference except devs openly reading and answering on forum. When you write from different accounts on Discord, you try to influence the formation of people's opinions. And later they express these opinions on the forum.

Him and others are against a poll because to them this is about being right or wrong — and being able to make claims addressing the opposing position.

A poll would instantly prove right or wrong and discredit everything they've said here as they haven't argued for or against 2x xp but only argued against those wanting it.

Whereas the rest of us arguing for 2x xp and presenting arguments as to why it should be a staple are arguing for a healthy server — not to be right or wrong.

Case in point being the sheer amount of reductio per absurdum, strawmanning and name calling from many (not all) of the people arguing against those who have argued for 2x xp.

All we're asking for is a healthy server and the numerous dubious changes already made by the devs have impacted the server's already complicated situation be it the dungeon mob tag nerf which is no different from outside mob tag — if anything it requires more skill — the BG xp nerf, more so on an explicitly PvP server with permanent war mode ; the lasher farm nerf, which has destroyed raiding consumable economy which Turtle had worked for ; the fact that they lied about PvE to PvP transfers, which made many people roll on PvE server and artificially inflated the original PvE server population, which contributed to it's success and created an issue for PvP server population afterwards, as people often make their decisions based on population.

The simple solution to most of these problems is 2x xp but the very vocal minority crowd who are a mix of N'zoth (so unrelated) players and an extreme minority of Y'Shaarj players would rather invent positions no one has taken such as instant level 60 or 10x xp or even fully geared options instead of addressing the actual arguments.
