Some GMs are on a complete power trip currently in world chat.
I got muted for more than 12 hours just because we were discussing asmongold. Not in a racist way or anything.
Just a regular discussion (for world chat standards of course). I was warned to stop with the negativity (what ever that means) and in WC the GM also mentioned something about "far right".
Imagine getting your liberal ego hurt just because some players talk about one of the most popular WoW streamer on the planet that just so happens to not support your political orientation and world view...
Kestrel you really have to get this bs under control. It's worse than retail/classic or what we had in TWoW. I completely understand muting people for being racists or very rude in WC but this is just not ok.
You have to constantly walk on egg shells at the moment! Any topic against the personal taste of a GM can lead to a mute or worse. And leaving WC takes a away a big social aspect of this privat server. You also need it constantly for building groups and more.
Maybe then, do not talk about anything that might cause offence or a warning.
Use your brain, act like an adult, and you wont get a mute
Simple.
How is talking about Asmongold offensive?
Twitch Suspension and Comments
April 2026 Ban: Twitch suspended Asmongold for a week after remarks on his alternate account zackrawrr where he stated he did not care about the opinions of "illiterate third-worlders".
Streamer Response: Asmongold criticized Twitch on X for a "blatant double standard," arguing his comments did not violate terms of service.
Dental Surgery: During the forced time off from streaming, he spent $7,000 on emergency dental surgery to fix long-ignored rotting teeth.
Prior October 2024 Ban: He faced a previous indefinite Twitch suspension after receiving intense backlash for inflammatory remarks regarding Palestinians during the Israel-Gaza conflict, for which he later apologized.
