I mean I disagreed with him on a few things but I don't really see him as being mad?

Most of the post was just to show that prices did indeed go up to 60g cuz Forky was actually right about that.
I dunno if people bought AT 60g but they were buying all the way down because some raids REQUIRE flasks. I don't think I actually disagree with you on the rest here.
Thanks for sharing that, I hadn't seen it.

now what do we think about scalpers

personally i simply don't engage with it. hell would freeze over before i bought a flask on ah. same logic goes for almost everything.

community supported the removal of AH in Diablo 3, but you support this all in wow

Mrsneed wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2026 1:16 am I agree, the nerf to lashers was overkill. I stepped in last night and pulled 3 herbs from 4 packs, which seems to be much less than I recall from 1.18.1.
Are we all ignoring that the guy lied and flasks are not anywhere even close to 60g?

Flask of Supreme Power; 22g50s - 24g

30 Dreamfoil ------------------- 17-20s per ---------- 6g~
10 Mountain Silversage ------ 60-65s per ----------- 6.5g~
1Black Lotus ------------------- 4g20s to 4g50s ------ 4.5g~

Total Cost At The Moment; 17g

And you guys want to make herbs even cheaper? Basically just destroy the entire herbalism market and make an entire profession used almost strictly for collecting just Black Lotus?

People selling Flasks of Supreme Power at the current rate of 22.5g - 24g are making roughly 6g per craft.
You're arguing with me over a point that I am not making. I enjoyed farming lashers. They were fun and aesthetically pleasing to kill, and they provided a great reward for the amount of effort put into the farm. Lashers are "easy" to farm, but the trade off is that it is time consuming and you have to learn the path to avoid mobs that will 100% kill you if you pull them.

If you want to make a point about the economy, then consider the fact that demand for alchemical consumables is currently very low. You can get away with not consuming in dungeons and MC in most fights no matter what spec you play. In BWL and beyond, that is going to change and the demand for consumables is going to be astronomical by comparison and you will see extremely high prices for consumables.

Consider that, after 7 years of TWoW, flask prices ranged between 45-65g weekly after years and years of economic stability. Lashers were a significant source of herb availability on the market. In its current state we are either going to experience a drought or extreme levels of inflation compared to average consumable prices right now.

I'm explaining why what you want is a bad idea. I don't really care what your point is tbh when the end result would crater an entire economy. Not trying to be a dick, but yeah.

Yes, the demand is very low at the moment. I feel like I addressed that at some point and said that when more raid tiers are released they'll likely revisit the Lasher farm thing. Maybe that was another thread, I dunno. Definitely something I've considered and something I'm fairly certain the devs have considered.

Yes and on Twow the economy was drastically different, Felcloth sold for nearly 10g, they're what 1-2g here? Golden Pearls sold for 20-25g, and they sell for around 3g here. Black Lotus sold for what 15g roughly, and they're 4.5g here. Various herbs were also more expensive, but from my perspective as a player that's relatively engaged in the economy side of things the cost of Flasks was mostly due to people just being able to make gold a lot easier in general. If you look at the price differences of the materials I listed bove, well for example Felcloth was 5x more expensive, Pearls were like 7x/8x more expensive, and Lotus were 3x more expensive. Meanwhile Flasks were only 2x - 3x more expensive. Makes sense to me, tbh.

It's hard to compare the two servers though. That said yeah I agree that once future raid tiers are released and demand increases that the Lasher farm thing could be looked at again but BWL isn't even out for another two months, and I don't think BWL will really increase demand *that* much especially considering with the release of ZG which no one really consumes for, there will be slightly more herb availability as many people farm the shit out of ZG, doing reset runs for bijous, rich thorium, and herbs. ( To be fair it won't be a huge factor for Herbs, but it's a factor. )

Yeah, and that's why I don't care. Because you're selfish and don't give a damn about the ramifications as long as you have your easy farm.

I explained in brutal detail how there is no issue, how the material costs / availability had absolutely nothing to do with someone buying up all the stock and raising the price by 300%-- and you responded with, and I quote "I enjoyed farming lashers. They were fun and aesthetically pleasing to kill".

You chose to have zero argument other than "I want this". Even after I explained in detail how it would destroy an economy. You're selfish. So yeah, I don't care what your point is. No one does.
