I also have run small sales teams and have tons of experience dealing with people in general. They opted to onboard someone who can barely put 2 coherent sentences together in English and cheats within days for a friend.

The integrity of this server is already hanging by a thread without things like this, but this just further proves this server has little future or life ahead of it. It will be riddled with favoritism and corruption, followed by nonsense decisions by the devs, like hiring this person in the first place.

7 day ban for helping a player produce one of the best weps in the game and blantly cheating to do it, then conspiring to hide it and lie about it..yea lets keep him as part of the community, I can totally see why he got a slap on the wrist and was hired.
Hey,Why come here to pass judgment if you never log into the game yourself? If you think this GM is so incompetent, why did they hire him instead of you? I will not comment on the team’s GM hiring choices, as every team has its own set of evaluation criteria. Speaking only on behalf of my guild, I am merely verifying and clarifying the truth surrounding the Eye of Sargeras incident. If a server’s quality can be shaken merely by hearsay, that would be the real problem. Since you hold doubts about this server, you are entirely free to switch to another one you approve of, are you not?

This server has improved drastically from the numerous issues in version 1.17 to the stable early operation of 1.18 now. The devs even independently fix in-game bugs. Whenever players need GM support, staff arrive on the scene right away. Have you ever had this kind of experience on either Turtle WoW or official Blizzard servers?
You’re letting your personal resentment over not getting hired color your entire assessment of the server, which strikes me as irresponsible. Does that mean you believe the server would instantly match your ideal vision if they’d taken you on? You claim you’ve led teams before—would you manage a team with this same bitter, unconstructive attitude?
I am just an ordinary player. I can only share my perspective as someone enjoying the game, unlike you who views everything through the lens of your own failed GM application.

Heibai wrote: Thu Jun 11, 2026 2:00 pm It may be an issue with how I phrased myself earlier. All I want to state clearly is that we have not committed the acts we’re being accused of. Please try to understand how it feels to be falsely slandered. I trust the GM team will deliver a fair and impartial verdict for the PANDA guild.
I know this server is out for blood and that puts you in a tight spot. I don't think your entire guild should be punished.

Personally in all fairness if it was my decision, I believe all parties that received any items of value without immediately reporting it(as far as we know none of them did), should have their characters permanently activated into Hardcore and Warmode mode with no access to trade, mail, or option of resurrection.

Anyone else even slightly complicit should receive the 7 day ban.
We will wait for the GM team to finalize specific punishments. They will deliver a reasonable and fair judgment on this whole matter. On behalf of the PANDA guild, I would like to apologize to everyone once again.
The reason we failed to report this promptly was based on what we were told at first: after the guild provided all available materials for him, he personally bought whatever supplies were still missing, so we did not dig deeper into the details. It was only after the weapon was confiscated that the guild reviewed the whole process and realized it was impossible to craft under normal circumstances. You can verify this with every member who took part in our raid activities. At first we simply thought he had spent extra gold to cover the gap, yet we later found out even large amounts of gold could not account for how quickly it was completed.
Dude ur just digging urself in, ppl said it is IMPOSSIBLE to get all Ingots needed as Golemag has not been killed that may times. And you danced to it .....

I have never denied that there is an issue with the warrior's legendary weapon, and the GM team will issue a ruling to resolve this matter. So how am I digging myself into a hole? What facts have I tried to deny at all?

You can check with the GM about the exact time when the weapon was crafted—it was deep into the night by China time. I only got word of what had happened the next day, by which point the weapon had already been confiscated.

I'm going to be extremely blunt even though it will probably lead to my account getting banned.

The developers of Octo-WoW need to set an example of these players and the GM in question. I have seen countless games and communities die overnight due to a failure to grasp the mindset of the Chinese playerbase in MMOs. They simply do not have comparable values with any other online community and the only way you can foster a healthy community where Chinese and others play alongside one another is through forceful and vigilant moderation and robust anti-cheat measures. I'm going to assume the chat messages shown have gone through some sort of translation effort due to the weird messages (Orange eyes?) and the fact the offending player chose to identify himself by his nickname written in Chinese characters and not Meatgrinder, and that therefore the original messages were written in Chinese between the GM and Meatgrinder. This type of collusion amongst themselves is very common and endemic of the Chinese mindset and values in online games and should not and cannot be tolerated by the developers if they want Octo-WoW to be successful. I wouldn't put much stock in the messages of Heibai and others who try to deflect blame and divert attention away from the other players who committed minor offenses and would urge the developers to watch them closely in the future.

I sincerely apologize to everyone over the Eye of Sargeras incident. I will not go over the same points we have already explained repeatedly. We accept and respect whatever punishment the GM team hands down to Meatgrinder, whether it is a 7-day ban or a permanent suspension. The server rules are absolute and cannot be violated under any circumstances. We hope all players will work together to uphold order on the server. On behalf of the PANDA guild, we invite all players to supervise us rationally.

We welcome your supervision wholeheartedly. Let us wait and see whether we are shifting blame and diverting attention as you claimed.

First of all, the conversation between the violating GM and Meatgrinder was in English. I have checked with Meatgrinder, and screenshots can serve as proof. Secondly, please set aside your stereotyped views on Chinese players. I do not wish to escalate this matter to other levels, but I will not hesitate to do so if necessary. We are merely stating the facts, yet you accuse us of shifting blame and covering up violations, which is completely unreasonable. You are welcome to supervise us at any time. I do not expect you to vouch for us; I only hope you can form an objective and fair understanding of Chinese players.

I've got overall suggestion - can we somehow prevent to have every melee 2h class wear orange weapon on their back and at least add bs requirement to use it?
