just solved all of my issues by setting my IPV4 DNS IP to cloudflare (tutorials on internet)... couldnt play normally for past few days and this changed everything. Might not be your reason why u cant play, but worth try it. Also its best manual DNS server anyway, so just use it even if it doesnt work for wow.
steps to Change DNS Settings
• Open the Start menu, type Control Panel, and press Enter.
• Click on Network and Internet, then go to Network and Sharing Center.
• Click Change adapter settings on the left menu.
• Right-click your active connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and select Properties.
• Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
• Select Use the following DNS server addresses.
• Enter Cloudflare's IPv4 address numbers:
• Preferred DNS server: 1.1.1.1
• Alternate DNS server: 1.0.0.1
Benefits of Cloudflare DNS
• Top-tier Speed: Cloudflare consistently ranks as one of the fastest DNS services globally, often outperforming default Internet Service Provider (ISP) routers and competitors like Google thanks to its massive anycast network.
• Strong Privacy Commitments: Cloudflare promises not to sell your personal data or use browsing logs for targeted advertising. They also wipe audit logs within 24 hours.
• Encryption Support: They fully support modern encrypted DNS protocols like DNS over HTTPS (DoH) and DNS over TLS (DoT), stopping your ISP from snooping on the domains you visit.
• Security Options: You can use alternative configurations like 1.1.1.2 for malware blocking or 1.1.1.3 for family content filtering
