So... this trash is your first round of PvP changes?
Well, if you're aiming to kill this server before it's even born, you're moving in the right direction.
Can we like... get a normal PvP server where we don't have to deal with random mental gymnastics aimed to kill the whole point of it for no reason? People, who willingly join a pure PvP server, should understand the risks and not require your ridiculous inventions to keep them safe. You want to be safe? Go play PvE server.

This is an atrociously bad change and easily abused. Please think of the following:
- What if a Gray player attacks ME? What am I supposed to do, run?
- What if a Gray Player is helping a player the same level as me against me? Now I can't touch the Gray Player, but the Gray Player can heal my same level opponent or CC me.
- Gray players can just form a wall around their faction leader when attacked, ruining the offensive with death timers.
Y'all gotta revert this immediately.

The best part of world pvp has always been city raids. With this change, they're dead. One aoe spell and yeah, basically get a day 'ban'.
I'm genuinely shocked that this idea was even considered. You put Dom in charge as pvp director, and this is what we get?
For the last two months, I've been trying to convince the only major pvp guild to move to this server ('pvp guilds' that raid are irrelevant..

). Every time I spoke to them about Octo, almost all of them said the developers didn't know what they were doing. I defended the server every single time and backed you, and even on reddit and now you do this.
Even if you go back on this 'fix', the damage has already been done. It's going to be difficult to change people's opinions of this server after something like this.
I honestly don't know what to say. In 21 years of pvping in wow, this is the single worst pvp idea I've ever seen.
The worst part is that the players who go around ganking low level characters will simply kill themselves before logging out, then come back the next day with a clean slate and do it all over again.
You need to apologise for this decision and start listening to the players who genuinely want this server to succeed and be here for years to come, not the ones who will disappear as soon as the next new server pops up.
There's so much more I could write but fuucck sake, wtf are you doing? Remove this change on the pvp server, I don't care about the pve ones, maybe it works there, but it doesn't work on a pvp server!

But to avoid killing that PVP HYPE, you definitely shouldn't implement this change on the PvP server... many commenters have already explained why

No joke. I am legit considering uninstalling the game after realizing that this is the very first change they decided to implement on a PvP server. Not even a day after its release. They have literally zero clue.

At least now we know there is nothing to expect here. When the dev team, instead of addressing million things that actually matter, does the opposite and God knows how comes up with a random brainrot like this not even 24h in, it becomes pretty evident that this is going nowhere from the get-go.

I like the general idea, but like the guys before me said it literally kills city raids. Maybe you can create this system, but tweak it a little. Like first getting the buff after killing the same grey listed player 2-3 times in a few minutes. or maybe you can somehow create a zone around main cities where it does not trigger to ensure the fun city raiding part.
PvP Servers are great, but dumb camping low lvl players because you are a loser is bad.
So I think the general idea is good and that you want to do something in this regards.
