Having spent the past couple days going to the Level Cap of Forever which is 20. (Whew I barely worked this month)

I can say that its not very inspired, friends and myself verify that the 30 dollar sky elf are a total misalignment of the visual fidelity for Classic. Their zone is rife with models and doodads from retail WoW, they have no difference from HD to SD models making them an eyesore in any form they take.

There are numerous things ripped from Turtle and Ascension, though that isnt to say Blizzard can't do that anyway, it is their IP at the end of the day.

The original world changes are take it or leave it, some quests are just nestled in places that were once empty to begin with with little 'overhaul.' If anything it is enjoyable to feel the expedited flow of a zones quests. The new Dwarf Dungeon the Alliance RFC equivalent was quite enjoyable and reasonably difficult for a low level dungeon.

I said it somewhere but, Blizzards greatest sin was only leaving it to rot, they cannibalized very little of what made Vanilla+ enjoyable and new. :?

They're total eyesore. And worst thing is that even if you refuse to pay for it, they're still integrated to the "classic".
I saw their ship in Thunder Bluff. >.>

I just don't feel most of the changes. Undies pallies(which also destroys their theme of dark race), the modern UI, And aI disliked the nerfs to the trolls, and how they doubled regeneration racial. Why the didn't buff the baseline regeneration like Turtle did and give something completely new instead? It was also lame how their beast slaying racial was copy pasted to dwarves and just renamed.

But no they have regeneration which is useless, and rapid regeneration, which is situational but also most of the time you cannot use it because any damage breaks the 6 second cast.

I think the most fun I had in the beta so far was looking for an RFC group and explicitly stating elves need not apply. I SHOULD have made a collage of them and hung it up on the wall in all honesty. Didn't do the new Ruins of Lordearon dungeon. Went and looked at the fact they aped cata's Gilneas and stuck it behind a kill zone that you can corpse drag through.

Yeah they ripped off the changes Turtle made to armor patches and whatnot in the LW profession, and the profession system is basically 1:1 of what Epoch had as theirs'. The fact I cant change the water to look like vanilla's is another gripe I have. it's like playing Half Life and suddenly you get to a section with water and they're using the shaders and whatnot from Crysis 1. Jarring as hell. overall it feels very "UE5 realistic mario, NINTENDO HIRE THIS MAN". Surprised the beta doesn't have a "vanilla" preset for graphical fidelity in all honesty.

The other smaller nit pick I have is removing the "hide cloak/helmet" option. I always turn those on and its now tied to the transmog system, which is ass in all honesty.

On the positives:

They baked the BM stuff for pets getting a % of your stuff (armor, stats, etc) right into the pet. so instead of thick hide talent conferring that % of your armor to your pets, they built it right in (though it seems a flat %)

Big point to keep in mind.

A lot of the developers in these corpo-studios applied to them in the first place with what could be described as... Contempt towards the people that they are supposedly coming to work for.
You can pretty much see it on a daily basis. Developers/people in creative roles who simply either hate the people playing their games, or they simply don't care for what they are working on in the first place.

Recently watched a video about one of the Diablo 5 narrative leads (I think that was her role there?) who was exposed as being someone who simply has no love or care for videogames, and thinks that combat and gameplay is an obstacle to getting to the next bit of story and narrative.
... It probably doesn't take a genius to figure out why that might be a problem.

So yeah, Private Servers are ultimately great, because they're typically run by people who actually like the game and don't hate everything about it, or the people who frequent them.
Utterly embarrassing slop. Following Mark Kern on Twitter by any chance?
Uhm... Okay...?

Firstly: I don't think it's embarrassing. Besides, it's information I got from someone who is... Fairly neutral as far as any of these topics go.
Watched this guy's videos before. Really good videos far as I'm concerned.

Secondly: I am not convinced you know what the word slop is.

Third: What does Grummz have to do with this?
There is always a story to be told, in the heart of the soul.

I kept telling on the Ironforge tram that all Skyborne are supposed to ride the back tram cart, terrible I know, but it got some good laughs!

This one will be a shocker for ye, def coming from me.

You could get rid of every DEI and I still wouldn't go back to blizz. That's the issue, the data aint pointing at the right issues. Or it is and they just don't care and want both slices of the pie.

I wouldn't apologise for it.

Not after this :

Because these people are activists, and they bring activism to the game, effectively ruining the world with such a blatant exhibition. And in this case effectively ruining the fantasy of playable race.
