Punishment should be bigger for sure, I hope you investigate the extent of other people's involvement as well.

Also Levia is racing every other guild to get server first, mythical, unspoken and legendary Dodecahedron, obtained by mindless grinding the 0.00001% drop chance left leg, right leg, left arm, right arm and head of Exodia so take their angry comments with a grain of salt

Do not become a server where it's ok for GM's to spawn in items at will for players. Also you need to ensure you can absolutely trust a GM before giving them absolute access to these types of commands.
Second this, there should be zero-tolerance for this kind of thing, and specially this being the first example of this happening they shouldn't go light on it.

And yeah, I don't think GMs that just joined should be able to spawn-in gold and items...

No player is getting a Hand of Rag in exchange for a week long ban. As previously stated, there was never the possibility of this going unnoticed. This is not a server where it is ok for GM's to spawn in items at will for players I am not sure where you got this idea from given the GM was immediately removed, items deleted, and player banned.

There is no way to "absolutely trust" a GM when giving them access to these types of commands. If you have any suggestions on how to absolutely trust an anonymous person on the internet though I'd love to hear them...

We achieve community trust through transparency and auditing. If you do not trust us yet that is ok, we have faith you will someday.

It's refreshing to see the level of transparency and information about what happened. Huge props for that. However, when it comes to the abuse of GM powers, i.e item/gold spawning or collusion, a zero tolerance policy should be adopted.

I would like to be hopeful that this incident has shown that the actions of GMs won't go unnoticed, and I am huffing hopium that this demonstration of how you guys are logging this stuff prevents another incident in the future.

However, due to the severity of the incident and the reputational risk involved, I believe the best course of action is to permanently close the associated account.

Players like this are parasites and a stain on the community, and the team should take a firm stance against such behavior. A week long ban is a vacation, lost items can be regained. But a permanently banned account means starting from zero and sends a much stronger message.

Just my two cents.

I'm loving my time here and the hard work the team has done so far with restoration efforts, and I'm excited to see more.

I agree. <3 glad you are having a good time on the server.

We had considered a trial period for GM's before, and will likely have one in the future (expedited now) when our processes and systems are a bit more robust. This will not be an overnight fix though as it will require restructuring GM ranks/commands and testing.

As you have seen, we do have a zero tolerance policy for GM's abusing their power. As for those they abuse their power for, I am in support of a "always results in a perma ban" type policy, but that is just myself not the official stance of the team (yet).

The other items were given in such a way that we don't believe the players receiving them had any ill intent or even requested the items. In light of this and the potential reputational damage it could cause them, given this was ultimately my failure (I onboarded this GM), we do not want to subject them to the same public repercussions as Meatgrinder.
How do u give an item to player without him knowing it was given by a GM?
