For all that are un-happy with this change , I would like to refer to a post I made a while ago ( with some extra stuff that can be trimmed away to save on dev time )

I don't believe players should be punished for pvp , but incentivized. I believe the goal is to incentivize players to kill gankers rather than punish the ganker.


Tl;dr: Offer some reward for turning in the "head" of someone who's flagged for killing Grey level players. Idk what the reward could be so the devs would have to figure that part out. But all I can is can you imagine the kind of heat you'd bring on yourself if people knew they could turn in your head for a chance at a mount ?

maybe instead put a buff on a lowbie that dies to a high level player that lasts a few minutes. this grace period buff makes them unflagged (only vs high level players) unless they attack first. But maybe this would be too easy to abuse.

Could maybe add this same grace period in your own capital cities as well.
Honestly, this seems like a much healthier idea. Protecting the one from being ganked repeatedly.
There's nothing wrong with being ganked a single time by someone who's higher level than you.
It only helps you build up you Kill On Sight list for when you are max level, and makes revenge that much sweeter.

But limited protection from possible abuse that takes away other peoples gametime is something I would support. If implemented correctly. And all possibilities for misuse are taken into account, which will be difficult, since people will find a way.

I like the "nowhere is safe" feeling warmode brings. I think it will make the PvP community tighter on this server as more cooperation is needed.
Just too open to griefing imo. there was already a level 12 hunter camping human spawn at one point.

Will the exact info be avaialbe officialy, on how much the honor and exp was icnreased ? What are the values ? Will that be avaialbe to read to anyone who is new to the project ? Will those amount be viable ?

The whole point of a reworked pvp system that the open world is big part of - is - that killing a player on your level is so rewarding and so important.. that you dont even consider killing lower lvls, simply because there is literaly 0 reward for it

Curently and its been like that for years on default wow, whether you kill a player on youir lvl or a lower lvl, the outcome is the same - 0 reward

Like why? Who is it for? What is the endgoal?
Mister PVP guy had one job and it was to come up with decent tuning for abilities without compromising pve or even better if possible decouple pvp numbers from pve.
This attempt at reinventing the wheel serves who? The fundamental thing was working 100% perfect all that left is numbers game due to rebalance.
