More likely the banned gold sellers/buyers. They are also the type of people who would do such.

If it was Blizzard it would be 24/7. (Thanks m8 good point!)

And there's a theory that the poll whether to unban the RMT banned players is actually instigated from a peace proposal. Theory is reinforced with around the time when the poll first appeared the server was unusually stable for almost two days until it really ramped up again. Obv. because of a reported current poll result where an overwhelmingly amount of voters chose perma ban. probably 90%+. So they got more angry than they already were.

And the entire server is looking foolish for blaming Raven without a single proof or remote clue aside from a mere timely coincidence during a time where a lot is happening in the vanilla/classic scene and the RMT bans was also planted in the middle of it. Singling out Raven is extremely shallow minded. I'm not saying it couldn't be them, I'm saying of the three possible culprits Raven are the least likely.

these ddos attacks are all happening between 6:30 PM and midnight in UTC+8, right during prime gaming hours. It really pisses me off that they are doing this, so I dont want to let them get what they want. Im gonna stay and ride this out with octo through this rough time.

Almost all day, with a few minutes of "rest" in between attacks. The attacks cease for a few hours in the middle of the night (Central Time - CT), which is likely because this is peak downtime for player population. The attacks have been especially bad this week.

It looks like the gold selling industry doesn't like the result of the poll about rmt bans and is trying to kill the server.

No limited number. Just the top three accused from what I can tell. Not sure who you refer to by the profiteers of twow, but in the blame-race Raven have got that role. From what I can tell anyway.

Though a thought struck me. If the theory of peace proposal have truth in it. What does that say about Octo withholding this information witnessing us hammering potential culprits?

Entirely agree with where you are going here. Reality is this: Can attacks take place in retaliatory form (i punched you because i perceive that you punched me), sure they can; however, id argue that in likely 99% of all cases, those attacks are attached to a demand (do "x" or the attacks will continue). Do i know that there is a demand in place, nope, no clue; however the likelihood that a demand exists, and the likelihood that the OctoCEO knows full well which party is targeting the server, well that likelihood most certainly is sky high.
