Oh man, assuming if you seen any of the news. Blizz decided to throw out an intense and reaching ban wave for people with offensive names. People with saved names of varying quality were banned for just having the name saved on the character list, regardless if they had logged any play time on them, and rumors abound that even if you had deleted that offensive character name you would be banned from the beta.

Of course, regular forever access is still allowed but people are upset to find very innocent jokes are causing them to lose total beta access. Naturally their chief production hides behind that the:
-Ban Wave was small
-We should be more mature
-That the process was structured
-That any mistakes were ' white lies.'

Im seeing a lot of people who are saying its a bad look for the face of Forever.

Of course. Reason #5930 not to play on "retail". Plus the smugness about it, oh my god. That one dude said "be better humans".

Btw, guys.. I tried Forever, on a private server no less. Yea it's crazy they already exist (not promoting, just saying).
The client is pretty good, as I expected. Graphics are... not that insane if I'm being honest.
The blue elves don't bother me that much TBH (I made 3 lol, but all ally so that Moai doesn't kill me), but yea they are an obvious sign that blizz lore is not changing course at all - it's still as worthless as the worst fanfiction. So it's all the same for me.

We'll see how the Forever scene evolves.

As for the private forever - to me this project would work IF it would actually remove Skyborne. And do some other changes. I might give it a try, but to be honest, good visuals alone don't make a good game. If the writing is all over the place then it it will have a very short legs.

And I just don't buy Forsaken Paladins, I saw few footages and I really think it doesn't fit.
Same with Dalaran - we saw Archimonde destroy it - and it's already back? Nothing happened?

The entire reason for Dalaran destruction was for Scourge to be unopposed. By returning Dalaran this soon they cheapen up the WC3 story.

And the modern UI and icons are absolutely hideous.

Forsaken Paladin? Who cares. They can be priests since forever...

New Race? Am I a fan? No. Does it bother me and many others? No.

Botters? We will see how it goes, but too much moderation is better than less.

1000 new quests, 600 recipes, new cool looking content, new zones? Yes yes.

Many new and returning people seem to love it. Devs seem to listen to feedback in the beta (for example too much blue gear on low levels).
People that play vanilla for 20 years, nitpicking every detail? Just don play it.

So how about you stop stroking yourself by shitting on blizzard, and just play the game you have. Octo.

I play here, since the very start of octo. Basically day one.

But this has basically devolved into a blizzard hate circlejerk where people just shit on the idea of forever existing. And something like that has no real value and to me it seems like many people here have no real interest in a real discussion about forever/blizzard, talking about pros and cons etc, but rather just vent their frustration about this thing even existing and blizzard making money.

And to be honest, if you are so deeply invested in something like this, yes maybe "touch some grass" is a good suggestion. It is a videogame.
