Russ1anrenegade wrote: Mon Jul 13, 2026 7:36 am Gearcheck Claims:
I don't think we have ever had a "Gear Check" for a k10.. that's insane.

We don't even have a gear check section in our discord lol.. do we expect better than greens (Yeah) but we take fresh 60 trials all the time.

EU Team Claims:
As for the claims on our EU Team being left behind or a "feeder" myself and all the NA players made alts to help get their team off the ground and actively recruited people to fill the EU Timezone so they didn't have to stay up until 3am.

Now the EU Team is totally self sufficient and clearing content under Bearchief, Darkshado, Drogon and Soap's leadership. We all work together to accomplish goals, clear content and make the game fun and refreshing.

Market Manipulation:
Controlling a market is totally normal in classic wow - its how we paid for our guild bank and 3 tabs in it already. we use the eyes of shadow to do that on top of high end crafts that we do sell to the public but at a premium. we all agreed as a guild to gate keep recipes to drive the prices up so we all could make money. is it scummy, maybe, but that's something i am OK with. I come from a game that gatekeeping and controlling resources is king and i bring that mentality to WoW for better or worse.

World Bosses:
World Bosses in classic wow are highly sought after and contested by guilds. We simply beat you all the the punch. we all made warlocks and clickers + Spys and have rotations to check for things. This is apart of the game and we see the value in doing it as it will leapfrog our progression later. We have had one instance that i can think of where a non Levia member attended a world boss and funny enough it was a member of Panda on a azuergos kill. This player didn't even receive a item ( I Think?) either way we dont sell loot... lol.

No one in my guild has been banned for cheating or any other thing other than a druid very very early on in the servers lifecycle who was dual boxing challenge characters and warned multiple times and got banned. RIP Dru.

it is still insane to me that classic wow has this much finger pointing and shit throwing over a 20 year old game, what we do as a guild has zero effect on any of you or your day to day playing experience. If any member of Levia is effecting this playing experience in a negative way make a ticket and it will be dealt with by a GM and or message me with receipts and i can look into it.

Keep your tinfoil hats close.

Hi, Lopp. I'd just like to offer another perspective.
Just to be clear:
I don’t think that your guild is cheating.
I don't think the GMs are secretly helping Levia either.
But I think many of you misunderstand why people dislike your guild. (I may exaggerate «dislike”, but I've heard a lot of negative opinions about Levia. ).

There is a difference between “playing by the rules” and “making the server enjoyable for everyone”.

I think what we have here is the clash of different cultures and even languages. Many people I enjoy playing with seem to speak the language of "community", "having fun", "people", "parties" and "trust". Reading your post, I noticed a very different vocabulary: "progression", "market", "resources", "control" and "competition".

I think this is where the misunderstanding begins. See, though you don’t break any rules you have a real effect on other people's experience. Through controlling the market and world bosses, you are really taking away part of the experience from the others. It may not be against the rules, but it can easily come across as self-centered to other players. You just making people feel like there is no place for us in this game if we don’t want or don’t have time to play this game “effectively”. It feels like you leaving us with the role of spectators of your journey to greatness. And that makes people doubt if they wanna come back here tomorrow.

Sometimes it feels as if "we follow the rules" becomes the end of the discussion, while many players are actually talking about something different — the atmosphere of the server. Rules are created by GMs and developers, but the community atmosphere is created by all of us. And if you like to be one of the biggest and the best guilds on server (in some way you really are) you naturally have more influence and therefore more responsibility . The larger and more influential a guild becomes, the more visible its actions become. Whether you like it or not, people start associating the server with you.

I understand why your guild plays this way. You are organized, competitive and want to get the most out of the game. There is nothing inherently wrong with that. I'm only trying to explain why some people who don't share that philosophy react so negatively.

I may be wrong, as I come from a live-action roleplaying culture where the main unspoken rule is not to negatively affect other people's experience. But I am gonna try to ask: please take a time not thinking only by the rules. Rules tell us what we are allowed to do. Communities are built by asking ourselves what kind of experience we want other people to have. Even if the mechanics and rules allow something, it's worth considering how beneficial it is for the community atmosphere you are part of.

Thank you for your time.
I think i understand what you mean; Im speaking from a gameplay and rule perspective and your speaking from a vibe and community perspective.

i personally hope i don't make your experience worse on WoW, if people are directly or negatively affecting your OctoWoW Experience you need to report or it or bring it to my attention (I'm actually not a dick lol.. i think )
We are a bunch of boomers just like most of this server just playing a game. I currently raid log for the most part but i know others are playing more often/frequently.

I cant control what people say/do but i can control their ability to play in our guild, if you bring the proper receipts or information to myself ill review it and make a verdict. (EX: I gkicked a player because he had a dispute in a 5 man dungeon run once and wouldn't drop it.) I have very little patience for dumb shit so if I'm getting involved its black and white (Usually lol)

I cant help you though when it comes to competitive play or gatekeeping content that is designed to be gatekept (Ex: World Bosses). Turtle/Octo will fix this with summonable bosses but because the dev team here is patching up from 1.17 to 1.18 we don't have all the great QOL Features yet.

There are always two ways to skin a cat - neither is wrong or right your welcome to play the game how you want and we are welcome to play the way that we want.

The right answer usually lies somewhere in the middle :)

Cheers,

Lopp

Please explain this to me. How would we justify banning all of Levia, is it for ninja looting? or is it for one of their members being too comfortable with a GM? Should we ban all of Panda as well for the Bushdocta incident? Or have you just not put a single minute of thought into this?
hey Kestrel, why are u replying to every troll?
In my eyes, it's more than obvious that a specific group of ppl are trying to defame Levia in any way possible

as someone that is NOT associated to Levia in any way
and having heard of the all the rumours from the beginning
i still haven't seen any evidence of all the things that they are being accused of

Market manipulation and world boss "mafia" are the most common practices, whether the community likes it or not

On the other hand, on the discord, Kite is known for trolling - memeing
and he has admitted that, all he wants is to defame Levia

Also, even though i have barely ever interacted with Lyric, the hate - JEALOUSY towards her is hilariously unjustified to me

Imo, unless someone brings any actual proof vs Levia
i would start muting/banning any more attempts to defame them,
but that's just my opinion ofc
have fun everyone!

I will say despite my annoyance with this whole situation anytime I have dealt with Lopp things have been respectful and handled well.

In addition to that Lopp has been one of the loudest advocates for us finishing the work to get summonable world bosses in (effectively removing their monopoly) which somewhat undermines the claim against them.

Sorry, didn't mean to ruin your torch-and-pitchfork business. :D
I just felt a bit sad seeing what feels to me like the Octoteam being pushed into choosing between "following the rules" and "keeping people's trust".
Cz in the end, I think both things matter.

Thanks for working on the world bosses, can you add the blue dragon essences to the other mobs as well? Also need the Netherrich still for twisting rift :)
